Were Confederate soldiers terrorists?

Then you should be able to prove my "flat out lie".

You claim that you and your parents paid enough in taxes to cover the security provded by the military and police, the fire protection of your local fire dept, the roads you drove on, the tens of thousands of books at your public library, the protection of inspected foods, the education system (including teachers, books, educational materials and school buildings), the protection of medicines that have been tested, access to the court systems, and the tens of thousands of other benefits you received by being a citizen of this country and the state of NY???

Proof? Your statement is absolutely ridiculous.

Not at all. The cost of those services are born by the taxpayers, and my parents paid above what the average taxpayer paid; more than our fair share.

Adding the qualifier of "my parents paid above what the average taxpayer paid" to make it work for you?

That is not what you said originally, is it?

You said "Regardless, what my parents and I have paid in taxes has more than offset any minor contribution that state or federal governments has contributed to my education". That does not say anything about what the average tax payer pays or any comparison thereof.

You stated that you and your parents paid enough in taxes to more than offset what the state or federal gov't had contributed to your education.

Changing your story now?

My Dad was an electrical engineer who worked on America's first Army missile systems, and had an excellent career in the engineering consulting industry later on and until he retired. Does that sound like he made less than the average wage? Thus he paid more than the average in taxes.

You claimed your parents paid more than "their fair share". Now prove it.

Your misinterpretation is solely your personal responsibility.

There is nothing in that statement that can be interpreted that you meant "in comparison to other tax payers".

The fact that you claimed the taxes paid by you and your parents "...more than offset any minor contribution ... shows that you did not mean it as in comparison to what the average tax payer paid.

You do not offset the gov't contribution by simply paying more taxes than average.

Keep dancing, SM. Its always good for a laugh.

"Flat out lie?" Is that some kind of odd sarcasm, or a lie itself?
Your parents paid taxes while you went to school. Not every dollar they paid when to your school, it also went to all sorts of other state funded programs. Only a small portion of your parents money went to education and my bet is you used more services than they paid for. That is why all citizens pay taxes toward education so that the cost of educating kids is borne by all citizens. A well educated populace is boon to all people and a well educated populace is one of the greatest protectors of their own liberty.

They paid taxes before I was in school, while I was in school and still now, long after I left school. Since they were above the average tax bracket they paid more than their fair share. Its rather simple logic.

When are we getting this "well educated populace?" In the next century? Because what I see, is an ever-declining student GPA, and US children dropping way behind the rest of the world in every area of education. We're certainly not getting what we've paid for, are we? So when is the Big Payoff? Another two or three generations? Well, maybe not, if we hire and tenure liberal socialist Marxists to brainwash our children at an early age! That may speed the process up, and get us on track to being a "well educated populace!"
