Abortion: wrong or just sort of wrong?

I've never seen PiMP EVER admit he's been wrong about anything. Don't hold your breath.

This beats all: "I suggest you do a bit of math and divide that claimed number by the days the war was in an active stage..."

Technically the war was in an active stage for about 40 days, March 20-May 1, when bush announced "major combat operations in Iraq have ended." I guess everyone killed after that "technically" doesn't count.

Let's see, 172 American troops killed in the initial time frame. Guess the other 4,632 who died in the ensuing years don't count, according to Pmp.

and... let's face it.... to those evangelical pro-lifers, the "life" of a Christian zygote is far more valuable than the life of a living breathing thinking rag head.

in the summer of 2006 liberals claimed there were 150,000 civilians killed in the Iraq war......at that point in time the war had been going on for 36 months......using your 122,000 deaths instead, divided by 36 you come up with 3,389 deaths per month......yet even Al Jazeera claimed that the highest number of deaths in any month of the war was under 1,500......my question remains.....where were the other 2000 bodies each month?.....why did no one notice them lying around?......

and... let's face it.... to those evangelical pro-lifers, the "life" of a Christian zygote is far more valuable than the life of a living breathing thinking rag head.

even if the US military HAD killed 3,389 civilians a month, and they most certainly did not, we kill an average of 2,740 unborn children a day......which should cause more concern?.....

I'm not arguing that....there's nothing to argue.....everyone knows that a zygote is a human being......however, I see you completely avoided the new question in favor of trying to reopen the old.....

I will try again....lets assume for the sake of argument that I agree you can abort zygotes......fast forwarding to the second day of the pregnancy........the unborn child is no longer single celled, do you still deny its humanness?......

A zygote is not a human being, as a being by definition relates to a person. A zygote is not a person.

but Sunny D.... it is when that sperm punches into the ovum.... that magic moment.... from that moment on, it's a whole new ballgame to the pro-lifers. Even though that zygote has ZERO sentience...even though the Bible itself does not hold that moment as something holy and magical, today's Bible thumping pro-lifers KNOW that it somehow is.

Yeah... that 'magic' moment when genetics take over and create a unique human life. Darn that science. But let's call it 'magic' instead of science. Then we can discuss the magic baby fairy that comes and turns it human at some made up point in the future. Right Maine?

There is no middle ground for any of them... there is no willingness to see abortions legal but rare.... there is only calling a woman a murderer for flushing that clump of unwanted un-sentient cells out of her body.

There is no debating this issue with them... there is only agreeing with them or feeling their righteous condemnation.

So much irony in the above from the intolerant one.

I see your point but there are instances where children are born into aweful conditions which we would conclude that it would've been best they weren't born.

So should we go around killing kids in rough situations? I mean, it is better to kill them than to have them live rough lives... right?

Explain how it's murder...How is early fetal termination any different than a man jerking off until he ejaculates? What about the millions of sperm cells with the "potential" to be something that die?

a fertilized egg has the complete genetic mapping of a unique human life. Like any other stage of development, at no point is the life not human. It is simply the start of development.

A sperm cell does not.
