SHE is at fault.
The guy simply retrieved HIS property.

You're trying to salvage the woman here. SHE'S the one at FAULT. SHE took/stole HIS phone. If SHE hadn't done this, no physical altercation would have resulted.

This seems to be a 'Sexist' argument. You're trying somehow to blame the Victim. You know, the guy that got his phone taken.

California is a community property state, so the use of the words "theft" and "stealing" are just sophistry meant to excuse the attack by Mr. Baer.

After reading all the "comments" about this, I was wondering about one thing.

Reverse the situation and have the man taking his wife's phone, refusing to return it, and when she tries to take it back, he falls over in his chair.

Would the comments then be that he shouldn't have taken it and he's responsible for what happened or would the woman be chastised for her behavior??

After all the years of women demanding fair treatment and equality, why are women still considered to being defended when they act irresponsible?

Read the second post above yours (# 264). I asked the same thing.
The Right-leaning women seem to genuinely want 'fair treatment and equality'. The Left-leaning women are frauds, they have no desire to be treated 'fair and equal'. They want some Special Status, where the Law doesn't apply to them. In my opinion, poor representatives of Liberal Values. Doing more harm than good.

Rage never means mild anger, is English your second language or something? Rage means violent, uncontrollable anger; frenzy, fury violence; going off the deep end, losing control, blowing one's top.

Yep. Apparently this extends now to searching other political chat forums in search of Jade, me, Mason. Chumps reported a while back finding a forum where Jade hangs out. Too bad he doesn't know what moniker I use elsewhere, or the name of the GR forum Mason started for Amazon friends.... and no, it's not the same one that we abandoned that Toxic obsesses about weekly. <--- (This will give her something to do tomorrow when she sees it. Christie. Let's say you have a 5 year old child that takes your phone and runs off towards the swimming pool to throw it in the water just to see you get angry and upset. You, as an adult, go after the child and grab it's arm and hand and forcefully remove your phone from the youngsters hand. Would that seem reasonable to do? Would that be what most adults would do? Would you try to instill in the child the idea of NOT taking things that belong to others?

After a 20 minute heated argument, the Wife/Child thinks that smashing the cellphone of the Husband/Adult into smithereens would be fun. The Husband/Adult goes after the Wife/Child and grabs her arm and hand and forcefully removes HIS phone from HER hand.

The three women (Christie, Owl, and Phantasmal) that have tried to Blame the Victim, their Honesty and Moral Character have gone DOWN on the JPP Forum.

We're talking about what happened between two adults, not your hypothetical about a five-year old. Furthermore, the liberal women here are talking about the entire incident from beginning to end while you're fixating about grabbing a phone.

Mrs. Baer said she fell to the ground because she had hurt her foot earlier and couldn't keep her balance. Why didn't Larry help her up after he got the phone? Why did Larry just stalk away, leaving bystanders to come to her assistance? Perhaps you think she was asking for it.

Spin away Jack. Both people behaved badly and it's a shame that all you have is criticizing the wife and the liberal women on this forum. It's not just about the phone, there's a whole back story that led up to the public argument. You have to keep bloviating about "stealing the phone" because if you were honest, you'd admit the optics looked pretty bad for Baer.
