I have no doubt that it was an overzealous statement, but it wasn't a total fabrication like what tRump specializes in.
Soooo, Politifact is "overzealous" with Obama, but is dead-on balls accurate with Trump?

I thought there is a Republican Congressman who still believes that, but I can't remember who. This one brings back memories. I recall ppl here engaging in this scurrilous slander.
"2018: Online smear machine tries to take down Parkland students
"After 17 people were viciously gunned down at a Florida high school, lies about the students started when they advocated for action against gun violence. Students were called "crisis actors" and worse. During a time of little bipartisanship, the attacks on the Parkland students set off a shared outrage in nearly all political corners."

That's what you fact-hating fake-news-shouting idjits like to believe, anyways. Enjoy.

Wait... that call wasn't 'perfect'?#LOSER45 definitely had a few home-runs in this category as well.
"2019: Donald Trump’s claim that whistleblower got Ukraine call 'almost completely wrong'
"President Donald Trump worked hard to discredit a whistleblower complaint about a July 2019 phone call he had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The whistleblower raised the concern that Trump’s actions leading up to and on that phone call amount to interference in the 2020 presidential election. Trump smeared the whistleblower as "partisan" and insisted more than 80 times that the whistleblower’s account was incorrect, "total fiction" and "almost completely wrong."
"Despite Trump’s claims, the whistleblower got the call "almost completely" right. The whistleblower’s account was validated by the very record of the call as released by the White House, plus testimony under oath from career diplomats and other officials. Also, Trump and his allies told reporters that Trump urged Zelensky to investigate political rival Joe Biden — that’s the point raised in the whistleblower’s complaint."
It's crazy to think that anyone could come up with the most damaging one, given that there were about 30,000 to choose fromLie of the Year 2020 -- The lies about the pandemic:
https://www.politifact.com/article/2020/dec/16/lie-year-coronavirus-downplay-and-denial/
The readers' choice went to #LOSER45's lies about winning the election:

IMO it's a phase. The US has gone through them before. Only nostalgia makes people think "It was so much better 40 years ago".
Me too. Kept my doctor too. Obama had no control over what insurers chose to do about networks. Especially since every Red state governor refused to set up an exchange.I liked my health care plan and kept it.

One thing that will suck about Biden being more focused on moving forward than burying trump:
I really want to see everything that trump hid on that top secret server, that really wasn't top secret. It just exposed his crimes.
It would be nice for someone to edit the server.
Wrong. As designed, there is nothing in the ACA that should change networks. What doctors/insurers do has nothing to do with the law.https://www.cbsnews.com/news/obamas-keep-your-plan-promise-labeled-lie-of-the-year/
That was after Obamacare passed... Quite a change from before it passed hum?

Put more bluntly, I lied to you about the keep your doctor and plan thing, but it was with your best interests in mind... Obama was a lying sack of shit on this.
So Obama could predict that 60% of the nation would refuse to set up an exchange, leaving some states with one or two insurers?I think Politifact biased their facts to claim Obama was truthful until it was so obvious he was a lying sack of shit on this they had no choice but to reverse course and reverse course really hard.

Sickening. I can see the normal political delusions:He's not alone. Like Sandy Hook, there are still people who believe that these events were faked. I know at least one Internet forum poster who claims to have been a teacher who has posted that both events were really exaggerated, and the students used as pawns, and who has posted spurious RW links to "prove" it. You could just twirl your finger around your temple at that in a cuckoo way. But then they double down on the claims and personal attacks against the surviving and activist students.
We remember history a little differently. Stimulus 1 stopped the bleeding. Every Republican railed against it, but took money with both hands out. Most Red state governors didn't use it to create/save jobs.Yes. It's called research. The Democrats either didn't do their homework or they were very mistaken. They didn't look before leaping.
Obama was underqualified for the job and relied heavily on Pelosi. Even though Pelosi should have known, Obama probably didn't know how much of an obstacle the Republicans would prove to be. He ended up focusing too much energy on health care and not enough the economic recovery. The Democrats blew all of their political capital in 2009. A violation of the "pick your battles" rule.
That doesn't make Obama bad. It's just a rookie mistake. Even my hero Reagan made several; PATCO, the Moral Majority and AIDS, just to name a few.

Then House Republicans refused to release any more Stimulus money, while criticizing the 'slow' recovery.
I'll grant you that Obama refused to accept that Republicans would actively work to destroy the nation, rather than accept their own pet wish lists handed to them on a silver platter.
Over and over and over again. In that sense, he was naive. Not unlike Charlie Brown. Sure...he should have seen the signs, as Republicans repeatedly refused to come to the table over the months that healthcare was being debated.
