As far as I can see, the main problem with capitalist libertarianism is that it is totally incompatible with liberty - just a kind of drunken fantasy for the rich.

Capitalist libertarianism offers the greatest amount of freedom and liberty. For many it goes too far and is the reason many libertarians (economically conservative and socially liberal) are not Libertarian Party supporters. They tend to favor a higher level of government involvement than the party. Most of the rich do not favor such limited government--they are getting rich off food stamps, infrastructure projects, Medicare and Medicaid...........

Agreed. The lower income get back a larger share of their income than higher income. Also, the older generation of workers get more back compared to today's retirees and especially future retirees. One reason is that they pay much more in payroll taxes than previous generations.

The lower vs. higher income is the issue at hand. Shouldn't someone contributing at a 4x higher rate get 4x the distribution considering birthday and retirement date being the same for both?

Except there would not be nearly enough financing. SS expenditures already exceed revenues.

There's an easy way to fix it. If, based on the calculations I provided yesterday, the higher income gets $2008/month, drop the income that was 1/4 of that to $502 instead of the $851. I don't really care which way you go as long as the proportion is the same as compared to the income being used to determine it. SS is not figured into my retirement planning. It will be an extra and I will take it whether someone else could use it more. That's for one reason and one reason only. I was required to put into it.
