A woman's basic right over her body doesn't "belong w/ the states"

Did you know that most, if not all, states mandate that if a single low-income mom applies for any sort of public assistance -- food stamps, Medicaid, rent help, monthly cash allotment -- it is mandated that she name the father so that the state can go after him to recoup what the taxpayers are spending to help her and the child? Think about that for a bit.
you're doing it again. You're ignoring one part when dealing with the other so you don't have to deal with the issue.

This is the right's mantra now: abortion is back w/ the states - "where it belongs."
See the Constitution of the United States, particularly Article I, and the 9th and 10th amendments.
Can anyone explain why such a sacred right "belongs w/ the states?"
Murder is not a "sacred right".
And we don't have to debate if abortion is "murder" here.
Who is 'we'?
Everyone is dug in on that, on both sides. And it's irrelevant to this discussion.
Murder for convenience is not irrelevant.
A woman's right to choose
No woman has the right to choose murder.
and to have that decision be between her & her healthcare provider shouldn't be something that's at the whim of whatever state she happens to live in.
It doesn't matter what you believe. The Constitution of the United States prevails. The federal government has no authority over the issue.
Freedoms are universal.
Murder isn't 'freedom'. It's murder.

So you are of the opinion that some hold that there is no right to privacy anywhere in US governance, not even implied?
A human being is not a paper, effect, or property. There is no right to privacy when committing murder.
That's interesting. So you would be OK with a nationwide gun registry?
Murder by abortion isn't a gun registry. Non-sequitur fallacy.
Guns are property, and the right to be armed is absolute. The federal government has no authority to create such a registry. Neither does any State, since they are also bound by the 4th and 5th amendments.
That wouldn't be a problem since you have NO RIGHT to privacy or autonomy over your body.
Two bodies. There is no right to murder.
Ummm, men are 50% responsible for EVERY abortion.
Men don't have babies.
EVERY SINGLE ONE. You want to stop abortion? Make it a problem for the MEN as well.
Men don't have babies. Perhaps you never got the memo.

You're comparing financial issues w/ someone actually carrying something in their body w/ all of the physical sacrifices that entails.

It's a non-starter. It's not even a good attempt at equivalency. It's completely male-centric.
Men cannot have babies. There is no right to murder.

This "illegal alien as murderer" talking point is quite interesting. It does sound like there have been a couple of cases where an undocumented person killed an American.

Of course it is NOT common. And in fact Undocumented Aliens tend to be MORE law abiding on average than the average American is. And, we, BY CHOICE, have the highest rate of gun homicides on the planet.
Most states do not keep that data. Texas does however. EVERY ONE of these crimes is preventable and did not have to happen in the US.

Over the course of their entire Texas criminal careers, these 310,000 illegal noncitizens were charged with more than 745,000 criminal offenses which included arrests for 1,598 homicide charges; 92,960 assault charges; 20,863 burglary charges; 90,615 drug charges; 1,611 kidnapping charges; 42,602 theft charges; 63,075 obstructing police charges; 5,319 robbery charges; 9,273 sexual assault charges; 10,442 sexual offense charges; and 11,285 weapon charges. DPS criminal history records reflect those criminal charges have thus far resulted in over 313,000 convictions including 793 homicide convictions; 36,290 assault convictions; 10,496 burglary convictions; 41,953 drug convictions; 491 kidnapping convictions; 18,053 theft convictions; 27,807 obstructing police convictions; 2,850 robbery convictions; 4,673 sexual assault convictions; 5,180 sexual offense convictions; and 4,320 weapon convictions.

So forgive me if I see Americans as sitting on a pile of dead bodies and screaming about the evils of a couple of undocumented aliens killing someone.

No killing is good. But given that we as a nation WORSHIP the gun and killing, it comes across as a bit disingenuous.

Then you SHOULD want to reduce the homicide rate by deporting illegal aliens.

Especially when it's so obvious that this is just a way to make a scapegoat. We saw how it played out in the 30's. It wasn't good. Please don't start us down that path.
We just had a family of 5 killed by a drunk illegal alien.

People such as you argue that Mafia contract killings are a sacred, inherent right. After all, killing a living human who has not committed any crime and who has not expressed any desire to die is a very personal matter of choice to be made by the killer, and the victim is not to have any say in the matter.

People such as you are exactly the kind of shit that we must flush away from civilized society.
Indeed. THIS is evil. I define evil as that which conforms to the teaching of Satan, which is compulsion.
Murder is an act of compulsion upon another, and an altogether rejection of the gift of life that comes from God.

I realize that you are an atheist, and have difficulty with this definition, since it involves God and Satan.

God and Christ teach choice, not compulsion. It is God and Christ that gave us free agency, or choice. We are free to choose. We are NOT free of the consequences of that choice. If one chooses to compel is will upon another, to take his life, THAT is evil.

Ah, so you're way behind on supporting your own spawn, it would seem.

So men have the freedom to run around implanting their seed wherever they can, like male deer or squirrels, but have zero responsibility for the outcome of that sexual encounter? Even if they are married to the mom? But women must be forced to give birth whether they want to or not, because you got a dick that gives you the right to dictate so? How very Neanderthalish of you. Wolves are more civilized than you.
Murder is not a right. Rape is not a right either.

Are you still looking for the post where I was racist in any way?

That's gonna be a tough one.

See, I can say you're a misogynist - and all I have to do is link that Dana Bash thread. That was hate, for women. But have you found anything where I'm racist?
DON'T TRY TO DENY YOUR OWN POSTS!
DON'T TRY TO BLAME YOUR RACISM AND BIGOTRY ON ANYBODY ELSE!

No, your statement implies rape. Sex between consenting adults can and often will result in pregnancy. That is a matter of biological and evolutionary science.
Evolution is not science. Sex and pregnancy is not science.
Women aren't "forced to give birth," but rather it's a matter of whether the man has any say in the pregnancy or not. The way the Left wants it (you) is "It's a woman's right to choose." It is her decision and hers alone to make whether the child is aborted or born. If she chooses to have the child then suddenly upon birth it's now the man's responsibility to pay 50% of the child's upbringing even though he had no say in the decision to have the child to begin with.

It is YOU that is a moron. Contract law holds that there are two parties involved and each has rights and responsibilities. You want to twist this in favor of the woman and essentially fucking the man over by giving him NO RIGHTS and EQUAL RESPONSIBILTY. That is a childish, stupid, and contrary to ALL contract law way to handle this situation.

But that's the Left for you. Not a rational, logical thought among them. Instead, it's a childish, selfish wanting of what they want without regard to fairness, equality, or equity.
Very true.

A woman's basic right over her body doesn't "belong w/ the states"

Why would any decent person even have to be told this?
It's beyond my comprehension and stomach turning as well.

Anti-choice is deplorable misogyny,
plain and simple, no reasonable argument possible.
The life being destroyed is not herself.
