the two are not incongruent

it is a realization that Fauci is the only one who knows and if he says 200,000 people are going to die by next week then it is going to happen dammit

Accepting that something, in the end, will be good for the country don't mean I'm glad that thing happened.

The black plague was good for Europe, it doesn't mean I want another plague to happen.

Leaving aside the fact that is a very dark comment I think you will get more approval (on this board) if you root for the deaths of older people who are Trump voters. That's acceptable in these parts. Saying older people as a whole not so much.

Well that's what I meant. Older people tend to support Trump and other forms of Fascism.
Again, I'm not happy anyone is dying. I'm just accepting that this will be good for the country in the long run, much like the black plague was.
