Exactly! And in summer it acts as a giant swamp cooler. Typically our July avg high is 77F. We reach that here around noon; then the winds switch to the E-NE and the temps drop through the rest of the day into evening. At nightfall they stabilize, then often will creep up slightly overnight. It's pretty nice!

In winter the lake gives us a lot of snow, but it also moderates our temps quite a lot. It may be 10F here at the house (1/2 mile from shore), and a couple miles inland it will be -5F.

It was a madhouse around in town today. Everyone out and about, especially to the beaches. Traffic was crazy, but that's what you get in the small tourist trap cities. The place gets like Aspen and other similar places. I had to get to that doctor's appointment though.
