I think he's going to test the wording of the 14th. We do have a SCOTUS that will rule on it, of that I am certain. I don't see much difference between this and Braindead repeatedly trying to exercise the legislative authority through his executive orders. Well one difference, once they've ruled I think Trump will understand that repeating the experience is futile.

That was the reason it was written, but as is wise when writing a piece of a constitution they used broad language so that ideals and concepts of fair treatment of individuals, and definitions of citizens would be used for future situations not yet contemplated.

If the had wanted to they could have used very narrow wording like is done in other amendments. They could have simply said that all former slaves are citizens. They did not, because they desired a framework for future situations such as we are facing now.

Compare the specific and narrow language of the 21 Amendment to the broad and defining language of the 14th. The writers of the 14th clearly intended it to be used in situations far beyond how we treat former slaves.

What he is doing is challenging a rather creative interpretation by the extreme left of a single clause that was interpreted far differently for a hundred years.

The argument that by not submitting to the Jurisdiction of the United States illegals are not the subject of Birthright Citizenship has merit. The SCOTUS will ultimately decide.

I know illegals who pay taxes, they use fake SSN's so their employers think they are legal, they pay and do not get their refund.

Defying the jurisdiction or rejecting the jurisdiction does not change the fact that it exists. Are you suggesting that if Citizen breaks the law they are rejecting the jurisdiction of the United States and therefore not subject to prosecution?

The plain wording of the amendment is clear, born here means you are a citizen. Reject that as you please, but its clear.
