That wasn't true until the Supreme Court decided it was true 30 years after the ratification of the 14th Amendment. That decision can be reversed.

The Supreme court decided that it has always been true, they do not make up law, they determine what the law is.

Birthright citizenship wasn't decided until 30 years after the ratification of the Amendment. There are many nations that don't have Birthright Citizenship of foreigners. Check it out. In fact, most of NATO.

Yes, that's what the 1898 Supreme Court said. The 2024 Supreme Court may say something different.

It is not etched in stone, but this decision was an easy one and is much older than Brown v. Board of Education, and the language is much stronger.

Sure the S.Ct. could overturn it, but they will not, and the law is clear. It would be akin to the S.Ct. saying the First Amendment allows an official establishment of religion.

Sure Thomas would vote for it, but not a majority.

Illegal aliens are by definition not subject to the jurisdiction of the country and are in fact illegally present.
If illegal aliens are not subject to the jurisdiction of the country they are in then the US can't deport anyone since they US would have no jurisdiction to arrest or detain any illegal aliens.

The US has no jurisdiction over embassy officials from foreign countries in that the US can't arrest them or try them for crimes. The children of foreign embassy officials are not US citizens if born in the US because their parents are not subject to US jurisdiction.

The US could certainly change the law that anyone visiting the US is no longer subject to US laws. This would prevent people from entering the country as visitors to give birth. But that would also allow the cartel to simply cross the border legally and then have immunity for every murder they commit.

Those who enter illegally by definition reject the jurisdiction of the United States.
They might reject, but they are still subject to it. You do not think the United States has the right to arrest them and prosecute them if they commit a crime?
