Death by Corona Explodes to 61!

IMO, it's insecurity. A deep-seated feeling of being less than others, a loser, trash and/or any other names we all use to demean others. Anyone who watched "The Queen's Gambit" knows that janitors can have a powerful and positive influence on the lives of others. It happens everyday with retired people and their grandchildren or neighborhood children regardless of their career success or money in their bank account.

It appears Anthony Warner didn't have anybody, or so he thought. That's a bad part of mental illness; the irrationality in decision making.

Makes sense: Inferiority complex -- fear of being perceived as a loser.

One of my my favorite jpp myths was the poster who claimed to be US contractor in Iraq in the mid-2000s, working in the Green Zone and supposedly dodging IEDs and insurgent attacks. It was all horseshit

Largely due the the inept response by TrumpCo. about 160,000 Americans have died in the 18 weeks since the thread author was chuckling about only 61 deaths

So when these deaths, (most of which are due to democrat governors putting covid patients in nursing homes) continue under biden, will you hold him to the same standard? REmember, what 74 days now according to demented joe before we no longer need masks?

Remarkable that you would attempt to conflate someone who demonstrably did a terrible job in real life, with the theoretical terrible job someone might possibly do in the future.

I hadn't seen the "several years" part. I recall him saying that since he got furloughed he decided to just go ahead and retire.

I wonder how come some ppl can't understand that if you don't lie about stuff, you don't have to worry about discrepancies? lol

It appears I misremembered his career, such as it was. He claimed to have been a healthcare expert for 40 years then "recently" retired.

I wear mine except I have a 50 foot rule: if I’m more than 50 feet from the car when I remember the damn thing I ain’t going back lol.
I wore one for forty years then recently retired and I still can’t get away from the stupid things.
... damn liberals...
Carp, if I wanted to ‘put on internet airs’ I’d fake being a surgeon and I could fool you very easily. With half my brain tied behind my back.

I *was* a healthcare worker/drone/peon that wore masks for 40 years and now that I’m retired I can’t get away from the damn things.

And yes, they are largely pointless.
Notice how anti-mask he was, including never wearing a mask even when required for work but when no one was looking, IIRC. I'll look.

Pop DONT tell me you’re wearing a mask. Real men don’t wear masks

Bless you my child

Darth's medical expertise on display. I wonder if his lack of basic medical knowledge led to his "retirement". LOL

I’m pretty sure not ‘basically everyone’ in the medical community wears masks and/or thinks they budge the needle significantly lol.

What’s up with the mask obsession anyway?
Thank you lol.

It’s impossible to quantify, but whatever benefit public mask mandates have in mitigating viral transmission—it’s going to be offset by the fact *the masks themselves* becoming vectors of transmission.

It’s inescapable: whatever virus or droplets that are caught by the mask are on the mask. Everyone pulls the damn thing down over the nose from time to time. I do it all the time. Everyone does. Then your hand becomes a vector.

I wouldn’t be the least surprised if some future study found that public mask mandates exacerbated the whole thing.
I’m actually going to see my former work mates here in a bit just for giggles. Last time I was there I was the only one wearing a mask so I took it off lol.

Now if/when they are operating on someone they are mandated to wear an N-95 as part of Universal Precautions [assume every patient is Hepatitis positive, has HIV etc] which should tell you all you need to know about the efficacy of surgical or loop masks.

After I see my buddies I’m going for a ride in the woods [I need to clear my head of this election bullshit] but I’ll give a report later lol.

Son, like DO, you don't understand that the masks are to protect your mother and friends, not you. Real men wear masks to protect their loved ones and friends. Cowards and idiots go to political rallies maskless.

How do you get a squirrel to like you? Act like a nut.

You think cuomo and murphy did a great job?

Biden has said, 100 days left before we don't need to wear masks, do you agree with that?

Okay, sane, well-adjusted, genuine non-fake people. There, now are you happy? lol

Closer. Given that, to a person with a hammer, everything looks like a nail, I tend to see mental illness in everything that falls outside the parameters of normal human behavior.

IMO, it's sane to accept common sense medical precautions in a pandemic such as wear a mask, wash your hands often and maintain social distancing. Why would any sane person not accept these things?

Consider the convoluted logic and half-truths Darth uses in this post:
Thank you lol.

Is that reasonable? Sane? Is he lying or just stupid? Mentally ill and no longer capable of reasonable decision making?

F mom and your grandparents pop. They’re on their own. I’m already living my eternal life

I will hold whomever is President to the same standard of putting country before party, of putting their oath to the Constitution above all material concerns.

You?

The Internet allows lonely people to lead virtual lives. It's as real as a video game to them.

The fact that he was furloughed when the pandemic began says that whatever his job was there, it was 1) non-essential, and 2) something that could not be done remotely, like administration type work. He reminds me a lot of a girl in my nursing class. She was ~20 or so, and worked as a tech (what used to be called a nursing assistant) at one of the larger hospitals in STL. She would constantly interrupt the instructor (a woman in her 60s with a masters in nursing) to declare, "As you know, *I* work at St. John's and WE always ____" to contradict her. The prof would just roll her eyes at first, but eventually told her to stop speaking out w/o raising her hand first. lol

LOL.

Since you are interested in flying, this link is tangentially related to decision-making in a pandemic: the ADM Aeronautical Decision Making.

The manual is geared towards flying but the principles can be applied to any situation.

Example:
"Steps for good decision-making are:
1. Identifying personal attitudes hazardous to safe flight
2. Learning behavior modification techniques
3. Learning how to recognize and cope with stress
4. Developing risk assessment skills
5. Using all resources
6. Evaluating the effectiveness of one’s ADM skills

Risk Management
The goal of risk management is to proactively identify
safety-related hazards and mitigate the associated risks. Risk
management is an important component of ADM. When a
pilot follows good decision-making practices, the inherent risk
in a flight is reduced or even eliminated. The ability to make
good decisions is based upon direct or indirect experience
and education. The formal risk management decision-making
process involves six steps as shown in Figure 2-3.

Consider automotive seat belt use. In just two decades, seat
belt use has become the norm, placing those who do not
wear seat belts outside the norm, but this group may learn to
wear a seat belt by either direct or indirect experience. For
example, a driver learns through direct experience about the
value of wearing a seat belt when he or she is involved in a car
accident that leads to a personal injury. An indirect learning
experience occurs when a loved one is injured during a car
accident because he or she failed to wear a seat belt. "

Great me too. Given I think the federal response was dismal but in places like NY and NJ it was literally murderous (putting covid patients in nursing homes, missing deadlines for vaccines) etc. I hold them even in higher scorn than the federalis .

you?

to your other question option three. Mind your own business.

I forgot this forum has this psychological delusion that everyone here is a sock.

I'll wait for the final report. My first guess is high density population areas are going to have different problems and solutions than low density areas. I live in a very low density area.

I support State's Rights. You?

Thanks for confessing you have something to hide.

I have never been able to get a Deplorable to explain to me what exactly the point is of lying on an obscure message board to people they do not know and will never meet.

They won't because many of them are liars, be it to others or themselves like Dark Soul and AssHatZombie. I'm including all deplorables, not just Hillary's version.
