Yes, pretty much if there they are, holding an AR and 25 dead ppl laying all about, you've got your perp. Fortunately though in those mass murder cases, the LEOs usually take care of the problem at the scene.

It should raise many concerns of the public about how prosecutors care more about resting cases than they do about resolving murder cases and insuring the guilty are in fact the ones guilty.

It's patently FAKE news. The chances that a convicted murderer is innocent are extremely slim. But yes, some do get off on technicalities.

As to the number of blacks who end up in the prison system; you might want to ask yourself the FACTUAL reasons why that is. Leftists love to avoid FACTS and REALITY when it comes to the ideological lies.

Cruel and Unusual punishment was related to torture. For instance, the Government can't beat a confession out of you.

If we went by the leftist standard, the mere fact that someone is in a cell with a toilet and a sink with zero privacy is cruel and unusual. Sorry, that isn't a standard for executions.

I also have a suggestion that could end "innocent people" being wrongfully convicted, over time.

If it's found that a prosecutor, witness, or a cop lied and/or conspired to get someone convicted; then they receive the same sentence, with no appeal.

If the innocent person serves 5 years, then so do those who created this situation.

If the innocent person is executed, then so are they,
