Debunking Covid stupidity part one: Vaccines DO slow the spread

we need to go back to vaxxing the vulnerable and making it available for others
no mandates -it's my body- let me choose

That is a part of the guidance handed down from our ancestors, who learned the hard way what to do and what not to do.

We decided to ignore them, we were sure that we knew better.

We have become stunningly ignorant and narcissistic.

And I'm not trying to change minds. I can't teach geometry to a barking chihuahua. But I can slap that dog on the nose with a newspaper.
I think you know better.

As previously mentioned, millions and millions have been vaccinated due to mandates. Their minds have not been changed.

I don't care how ignorant they are. As long as they get vaccinated.

Here are the numbers without the vax 2020 and with the vax 2021

COVID CASES USA

265,032 DEC 23 2021 more with the vax

193,511 DEC 23 2020 less without the vax

71,000+ more people have caught covid with the vax available and arouud 60% of the people vaxed.. than when it wasnt available and zero percent vaxed

You know math and stuff

So explain how it has slowed the spread? u stupid BASTARD
And MAGAs are the ones getting/spreading Covid.

You know...science and stuff

Your "question" is wrong on several points. No virus stops with herd immunity. They are slowed by herd immunity. By definition, members of the herd can still get the disease, and even spread it to other members of the herd, but there are no major outbreaks possible. So even if we had herd immunity, it would not mean that the virus would not be dangerous.

Covid-19's problem is not that herd immunity does not work, but that herd immunity is not sustainable. Covid-19 immunity, especially natural immunity, fades quickly, which makes getting herd immunity very difficult.

There are a whole bunch of viruses that can cause the common cold, but not "SARS type" viruses. The most common cause is a rhinovirus, which is a totally different group of viruses from Covid-19. A less common cause are coronaviruses, which would be related to Covid-19. Also influenza viruses cause colds, which are very treatable with vaccines.

Basically, you are wrong on every level.

Masks and quarantining have worked against colds.

Antivirals have never been as effective as vaccines, and they certainly do kill people. They are brutal.

Without herd immunity stopping it from spreading, it will continue to spread over and over again. You start by saying there is no end to the deaths, remember?
Ironically, when Fox was hailing herd immunity, the doper was here yelling it from the rooftops.

Slower transmission is better than fast transmission. It gives us more time to deal with the pandemic.
He CAN'T talk about 'hospitalization'. It ruins his narrative.

Maybe the refrigerated trucks with dead bodies stacked like cord wood is something he would like to discuss?

Forcing unwilling citizens to participate in a medical experiment by coercion is taking a torch to the Constitution..
Which is why DeSantis' actions are criminal. He killed 30,000 this summer, and we will soon find out what his winter achievement is.

If the vaccine slows hospitalization from COVID why does New York have 2 1/2 times as many hospitalizations per 100K cases as Florida does. New York is 71.5 % vaccinated and Florida is 63.1% vaccinated.

New York State
14-day change: 41% increase
Hospitalizations per 100,000 people: 20
71.5% vaccinated

Florida
14-day change: 21% increase
Hospitalizations per 100,000 people: 8
63.1% vaccinated

Everyone is free to choose. Everyone is responsible for the consequences of their choice. Pretty simple stuff, even for a fucking moron like you.
And store owners in Fla. should be free to demand masks. But that is illegal now.

Actually, private businesses can still mandate masks. They cannot ask for vaccination status, which is absolutely ludicrous. And local governments cannot mandate masks. Also ludicrous. I guess suddenly 'conservatives' want government to dictate to private business, and they want central government to override local decisions. It's pretty humorous.

Because Florida had it's Delta surge earlier, Doctor Dimwit. The vast majority of hospitalizations are unvaccinated. Fact. Why? Because vaccines prevent serious disease.

A few reasons.

People tend to travel back and forth from NY to Fla.

DeSantis doesn't allow his numbers to be released.

There are quite a few MAGAS in NY who aren't vaccinated.

There are millions of unvaccinated Hasidics in NY.

In other words, let it run it's course.

BTW, the vaccine reduces the risk of hospitalization. So it is the unvaccinated who are more at risk.
