Dems did themselves in!

All you've done is just regurgitate the SOS you did previously.....a pretty piss poor attempt to validate what is painfully obvious to be nothing more than just willfully ignorant OPINIONS, with little to no basis in FACTS or LOGIC. Pretty sad on your part, son. No wonder Obama whupped your party's butt TWICE!

Nomad's a Democrat unless I'm misunderstanding your post.

Again, you keep harping on the out of context instead of dealing with the entirety. By that tactic, you can justify ANY speculation, supposition or conjecture.

And since the article is for GENERAL READING BY THE PUBLIC, saying "us" is not specifying anyone. So stop pretending otherwise.

I asked who is the 'US' who would find the gang rape of a 12 year old APPEALING?

Why would Sanders even write crap like this?

You should stop pretending that women, democrats, independents and progressives wouldn't care about this regardless of the context.

Not sure why you keep talking about context when I've posted the entire article.

I can't claim to have followed Bernie's electoral history all that closely but if this letter was such a deal breaker how has he been elected to the Senate so many times?

Actions have consequences my friend.

It's hard .. if not impossible .. to present yourself as some environmentalist when you've legislated to dump nuclear waste on an poor community of Hispanic people far from your own all white community.

Do you believe that democratic and independent voters wouldn't care?

Not his finest hour....he should have balked against the situation regardless whether it was already set up and function. Subsequent actions, like those I displayed, would have blanket effect, but don't wash away compliance on any level.

Still, his record on this issue whups Hillary's by any standard. But this is all history. Hillary connived and got her way, and the country is paying for it.

Repeating feigned ignorance won't validate your assertion. You KNOW that "us" is the READING AUDIENCE. Capice?

And if you don't understand "out of context" when you harp on one sentence and treat it as independent of the entire paragraph/article, I can't help you.

No you can't help me believe that this would not have had a devastating effect on Sanders's run for president.

Well, I hear that a lot, mostly from younger Sanders supporters.

I think they seem to feel that their vote alone would've been enough to carry Sanders to victory, without regard to how older, more centrist and conservative Democrats would've voted.

There were a lot of things Sanders was proposing that we older, middle of the road type Dems either didn't find credible or downright disagreed with.

Then there was the plethora of negative ammo the Repugnants had at their disposal to throw at him.

He's a socialist, the anti-women articles he wrote, etc, etc, etc.

So the question then becomes one of how many older, centrist Dems would've stayed home or voted for Stein or even some other candidate?

I'm not convinced that the enthusiasm of the youthful Sanders crowd would've guaranteed a win for him.
Can't argue with any of that. But....kids didn't seem to care that the Supreme Court was hanging in the balance. They didn't seem to care that their healthcare was hanging in the balance. Surely, you have to agree that the older, saner demographic would have fallen in line and voted for Sanders for the aforementioned reasons.

Of course his free college, and single payer platform was a fantasy. But this election was really one of the craziest in history. In the end, the Democrat base would have done exactly what the Republican base did.....vote against the 'other'.

Damn I hate disagreeing with you .. but democratic women voters running to vote to someone who wrote glowingly about 3 men gang raping a woman. I don't think so.

Hispanic voters running to vote for someone who voted to dump nuclear waste in a poor Hispanic community. I don't think so.

Sanders had no connection to the black community. He would not have garnered the black votes that Hillary did.

Promising to raise taxes on the middle class is hardly a recipe to win large percentages of independent voters.

Democratic voters are not Trump voters, who Trump could tell anything.

Had Sanders won the nomination, he would have lost far worse than Hillary Clinton did.
Unfortunately, we'll never know. trump tried to tie Bill's history of supposed rape/philandering to Hillary. There was so much mud slinging in this election, I honestly don't believe any of the standard negative issues meant a thing. There were quite a few Sanders voters who opted for trump. Clearly, they didn't care, or they didn't even know the ramifications of doing so.

If memory serves, the black vote was paltry this election. Similar to the youth vote. If we give the politically educated black vote to Sanders, and the youth vote that hoisted Obama to the White House, he surely wins this election.

Of course, we could just as easily debate the 'what ifs' of last year's Super Bowl.

I seem to remember a rather civil discourse between Sanders/Clinton. 'I don't want to hear about those damned emails' seems to come back to me now.

There is no denying that trump's Jerry Springer approach to politics worked. Comey's big mouth and incompetence (we found out after the election that trump had been under investigation by the FBI for months, but that didn't merit public mention?) changed things at the last minute. Credit Weiner the pervert as well.

Overwhelmingly, Clinton's problem was a lack of enthusiasm by the young voters. They would have flooded to the polls for Sanders, as they did for Obama.

Couple that with the fact that the DNC's dirty deeds were made public, and we have a perfect situation for a moron like trump.

Dems get caught colluding and Trumps the moron.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight :good4u:

Did the liberals on this thread wake up triggered or did they just go to bed triggered?
And is it like this on all the threads today?

i have already presented evidence before that the republican base did no such thing. I presented a case study of toomey and trump. They both got their votes ffrom different sources meaning that a lot of people voted for trump but not republic down ticket and vice versa.

Repugnants voted against Hillary.

Period.

Your hatred and fear of her is such that you'd have voted for Putin himself rather than his puppet Trump had that been your only option.

You'd have dug up Hitler and Stalin then made them the GOP ticket if you could've, all to prevent Hillary Clinton from becoming President.

Americans voted for Hilary.............the GOPigs stole the election for the second time because our focus was else where.

At the end of the day, Americans voted correctly, for Clinton.

We need to focus on our election rules first and foremost.

i probably would have supported JEB! over hillary but not as strongly.

Sorry, don't blame Blacks for this ignorant fuck being in office. We came out for Clinton, especially Black women.

Americans came out for Clinton. The election was stolen.

Our election laws need to change. They are outdated and slanted for he racist right.

Wrong.

If he hadn't run in the primaries a lot of the bullshit that got thrown at Hillary wouldn't have come up and the damage wouldn't have been done.

But of course you'd talk that shit now.

Had Sanders won the primaries, you'd have called him everything but human.

Sanders' socialist ideas would've never gone anywhere. Just like Trump, he ran on false promises and pipe dreams.

What a crock of shit.
If Wasserman hadn't cheated Bernie could have beaten Trump.

The people were sick of war.
