Dems did themselves in!

What a crock of shit.
If Wasserman hadn't cheated Bernie could have beaten Trump.

The people were sick of war.

Sanders isn't even a Democrat.

Why should the DNC have had to allow some carpetbagger to come in and hijack the election away from the candidate they preferred?

The only reason he was so popular with millennials is because of his false promises of fee health care and free college tuition, which anyone with a brain knows never would have happened. Trump's wall has a better chance.

The Republicans would've eviscerated him in the general election, too.

Had he managed to do the impossible and pull out a win, he would've gotten the same treatment Obama did.

If more of the BernBots had supported Clinton, we might still have an obstructed President, but at least we'd have a sane, competent one.

Bernie is at least partly responsible for Trump.

Unfortunately, we'll never know. trump tried to tie Bill's history of supposed rape/philandering to Hillary. There was so much mud slinging in this election, I honestly don't believe any of the standard negative issues meant a thing. There were quite a few Sanders voters who opted for trump. Clearly, they didn't care, or they didn't even know the ramifications of doing so.

If memory serves, the black vote was paltry this election. Similar to the youth vote. If we give the politically educated black vote to Sanders, and the youth vote that hoisted Obama to the White House, he surely wins this election.

Of course, we could just as easily debate the 'what ifs' of last year's Super Bowl.

Help me here .. I'm not sure why anyone thinks that Sanders should be the nominee of a party he refuses to join. He's not a democrat.

Politically educated black voters were not going to support Sanders. I'm as politically educated as anyone .. and I'm a socialist, but I've never supported Sanders. In the primary, Sanders got 23% of the black vote.

But you're right of course. We will never know.

That being said, hopefully democrats won't be trying to nominate Sanders again in 2020.

I never did quite get that myself.
He's "independent" so why didn't he run as one?

Exactly what I was thinking throughout all the noise about the primary.

Why didn't the Democratic party force him to run as an independent and keep the primary open to democrats only?

He ran as a Democrat in order to avail himself of the DNC's resources. Fundraising mechanism, political advertising budget, support form other Democrats had he won the primary. All things he would have had none of had he ran as an Independent.

Basically, he was a freeloader.

But then, if you read his biographical data, he was always known for being a freeloader.

I agree with BAC. He never should have been allowed to run as a dem. I'd think there'd be some kind of DNC rule like "must be a registered dem for at least 1 yr. before...."

Politically educated black voters also know what Bill Clinton did while in office. How does that make Hillary the chosen one?

(Not saying that means black people have to support Hillary but what is so sterling about her?)

What did Bill Clinton do while in office that should have, in your opinion, caused politically educated black voters to not vote for Hillary?

I remember being happy when Lyin' Ted snubbed Douchebag Donald at the RNC when he told everyone to "vote their conscience." In the end, though, leaders of both parties came around to endorsing the nominee, and Lyin' Ted campaigned for Douchebag Donald in Texass.

The party & currying favor of it trumps morality, ethics & even dignity- the douche dissed his wife, dad & pegged him a liar.:palm:

Americans voted for Hilary.............the GOPigs stole the election for the second time because our focus was else where.

At the end of the day, Americans voted correctly, for Clinton.

We need to focus on our election rules first and foremost.

Elsewhere??? Where was your focus??
