Dems did themselves in!

So you think these people would have been better off or would have preferred to live the rest of their lives as slaves?

Seriously?
So it was better to let them die from smallpox, cholera, typhoid or starve instead, is that what you're saying? What about all the Jews in concentration camps were they better off dead as well?

Your questions don't deserve to be dignified with an answer.

Maybe if you sit and think about it for awhile, the answer might begin to dawn upon you.

In order to facilitate that, maybe you should first ask yourself what constitutes a life that is worth living vs one that is filled with endless days of hardship and misery.

Sanders isn't even a Democrat.

Why should the DNC have had to allow some carpetbagger to come in and hijack the election away from the candidate they preferred?

The only reason he was so popular with millennials is because of his false promises of fee health care and free college tuition, which anyone with a brain knows never would have happened. Trump's wall has a better chance.

The Republicans would've eviscerated him in the general election, too.

Had he managed to do the impossible and pull out a win, he would've gotten the same treatment Obama did.

If more of the BernBots had supported Clinton, we might still have an obstructed President, but at least we'd have a sane, competent one.

Bernie is at least partly responsible for Trump.

Hillary is a war lord.
The people are sick of endless war.
End of story.

So the BernBots threw a tantrum and either stayed home, voted third party or in some cases, even voted for Dumpster Donnie.

And that accomplished what... made some kind of point? Punished us for backing Hillary? Taught us lesson? Made them feel like they got revenge?

Way to go, BernBots. You helped give us Trump.

Hope you're happy now.

(Not really. I hope they're all suffering everyday, mired in the guilt and shame of their own selfish, short-sighted stupidity.)

Praise Trump, you deserve him.

If we survive the Trump years, the future is likely a lot brighter for the left because of how this all transpired.

Even if Hillary had won outright, it would have meant further losses in both the Senate & House in the mid-terms, and she would likely be a 1-termer. So, you'd be handing the GOP the Presidency in 2020, with even greater majorities.

Instead, Bernie energized an entire new youth movement - surely, the leaders of tomorrow. And they will be a more passionate, principled bunch than the one the Dem party has right now. Trump being POTUS is a low point, for sure...but possibly one that was much needed. A real wake-up call to the opposition, and from a certain perspective, an outstanding opportunity to be a better party for the long run.

Stop blaming Bernie for Hillary's defeat. You need to give her accountability. She had every opportunity to win over those Bernie voters - it's her fault that she couldn't. She ran one of the worst campaigns I have seen in awhile. No coherent message, particularly for working, middle class Americans - formerly loyal Democrats. She tried to play it safe & run out the clock, and offered no inspiration at all.

She blew it. Every Dem should be angry about that. Having Trump as an opponent was a softball, and she still blew it.

How so?

I voted for Hillary.

Who did YOU vote for?

I think maybe you got that backwards.

.
Wasserman subverted the democratic process wth Hillary's blessing.

Both should be in prison.

Your bleating doesn't make it right.

Yup.
She offered no hope to the jobless, the under-employed, the underpaid, those working multiple jobs but still unable to make ends meet.

She offered nothing to the parents of the children expected to fight our wars.

She enthusiastically supported NAFTA

She supported the TPP

She supported Walmart and Wall Street.

She lost track of her party base, her constituents.

She arrogantly assumed the Coronation was hers to own, deserved or not.

She didn't deserve it.

As much as I hate to cede any point to the righties, they are correct in that Democrats in general were becoming a coastal party. I think the party needed this reminder. Jobs, affordable healthcare, getting your kids through college...these are the things that millions in the "flyover" states care about. And Dems used to own those issues.

Hillary did feel entitled, and the party fed that by offering up what they thought was a no-competition primary to set her up for the coronation. I'm so tired of the Clintons at this point, and the biggest silver lining of this past election is that we can finally move on from them, and the party can now re-make itself without their misguided influence.

Yup. Yet many Sander supporters and libs just went along with the charade. Instead of protesting their own kind.

Sanders stuck us with Trump by running.

He should've stayed the fuck out because he had no chance.

He was to the 2016 election what Ralph Nader was to the 2000 election.

By sticking their never had a chance to begin with noses in something they shouldn't have, they helped hand two elections to the two worst presidents in history.

Yeah because Hitlery would have been so much better...

I cannot agree that it's her fault she couldn't win over the BernieBots.

In order to do that, she would've had to lurch to the extremist left which would've alienated the independents and swing voters. The BernieBots are the ones who should've realized that they aren't the only ones in America who need to be appealed to. It is their youthful selfishness and self absorbtion that made them refuse to see the starkness of their choice, but they ignored the consequences in favor of acting out on their anger and indignation.

And I'm not so sure about how their energy will play out in the next election. If they go for another extremist who bases his campaign on impossible to keep promises and pandering to issues like transgender bathrooms etc, which is highly likely, the centrists are not going to come out in much force, and likely not blacks either.

Bernie did nothing but hand out false promises of freebies that he never could have delivered on.

He sold you a bill of goods in the interest of furthering his own political career, then assumed you all were so smitten with him that he could command you to vote for Hillary and you'd obey.

But you didn't.

You ignored your hero's advice and allowed this evil monster to assume the throne.

All she had to do was run a principled campaign, with a real message. She didn't need to go extremist left.

She did nothing to try to win their votes. She tried to use the same old coalitions, and the same establishment strategy that worked in the '90's. She ran a truly terrible campaign.

What you see as selfishness and self-absorption I see as being principled and hopeful about America. Your position is very cynical.

IMHO it wasn't even "coastal" & the party is still OUT OF TOUCH......... First thing they need to do is get rid of pelosi & shumar-they are a YUGE part of the problem......

The good thing about the dirty getting elected is this has become apparent to everyone~well except maybe them.....
