OK, I have had enough. I do not come here to talk about me. I come here to talk about politics. Ordinarily, this post would not cause me to place a poster on permanent Ignore. But I can see this is part of a larger trend. What really did it was talking about me in the third person in my presence, downtalking me.
I've thought it over and I simply cannot get past that. It's too much. It is completely disrespectful. I have stated that I intend to respect others here, and I am not going to talk to anyone who does not respect me.
You're right, goat. We are going around in circles. We've had our discussions. We know how each other feels. I have tried to establish a rapport of mutual respect between us, but it is apparent that the situation I have hoped for does not exist. I applaud you for trying. I appreciate that you have held off for so long. I have repeatedly asked you to talk about politics in general, but you always come back to trying to make it about me personally.
I asked myself a basic question. It was a favorite of Dear Abbey. I asked myself if my life is better with you in it or with you not in it. I have to be honest with myself. Too many people are fooling themselves about way too much. I can't deny the answer to my question is that my life will be better without you in it. I know that once you're on Ignore, and I never read your negativity again, I will not miss it. Not one bit.
I wish you well. I'll miss part of our discussions. It has been interesting. But the good is not worth the bad. So we are done.

He's not dead. It is being dragged out.
He is currently awaiting execution at the United States Penitentiary, Terre Haute, Indiana.
I guess he won't be starting any more race wars.
Meanwhile, peaceful, respectful law-abiding people are living their lives and enjoying life.
We are thankful for law enforcement keeping the peace.

I figure if I don't want to be held to account for something I said years ago, I had better maintain high standards for whatever I say when I click that "Post Quick Reply" button.
I often write things that I simply do not post, or that I later go and delete or change.
Saying something about somebody who has no chance to respond to me? Not my style.
I want to feel good about what I put on record. I want to be proud to stand behind everything I say.
You never know when somebody will bring it back up years later.
