Electrify America, one of the bigger public charging station companies (and the one cited above for blowing cars up) just announced it's raising their rate to $0.48 a KWH and to $0.19 per minute where that rate applies. So, electric is quickly becoming as expensive as gasoline when it comes to filling your car...

After a massive recall of Chevy Bolts because of battery fires, GM is now telling owners they will take no responsibility if they charge anywhere except GM approved charging stations (eg., at home from a GM station, or at a dealer). Public charging at other stations is at the owner's risk.
