FEMA is doing nothing....

I believe he invited 250 linemen at 2K dollars per night, Concarty.

That’s 500K dollars per night, if my calculator is still working.

You should be able to match this, Concarty, since you are a billionaire.
Wow, that is overvaluing the rooms in three ways. First they are far from the disaster, so of little value to the disaster workers. Second, they are empty rooms, so trump is not losing customers over this. And third, there is no way on earth that each bed costs $4k.

What trump is doing is pumping up the cost so he can reduce his taxes by a huge amount. He claims $500k a night in tax deductions for some rooms that he would not be able to sell anyway, and probably will not even be used, and gets to reduce his taxes by millions.

It is disgusting.

What sort of hurricane would only damage small cell phone chargers? Your claim does not make sense.

What FEMA has to do is move fuel for the cell phone tower generators in, or better yet get electricity hooked back up to the cell phone towers. Also communication needs to be hooked back up to cell phone towers. It is a little more long term, but electricity should be hooked back up to houses.

If someone needs a charger, they can buy one at the 7-11, but most people who have phones have chargers.
Where's FEMA, Wally?

Hurricane Milton never touched North Carolina. You are thinking of Hurricane Helene. I hope that helps you.

So it was very important that DeSantis coordinate with the Federal Government on Hurricane Milton, and it is sad that he has not. Actually Helene also did damage in Florida, so it was important he coordinate... Obviously DeSantis has done none of that.

I guess he is looking for his white boots to prance around in.
Where's FEMA, Wally?

Let's start with whose Black Hawk that is... It is the North Carolina National Guard. It was the state people.

The state was delivering a FEMA generator at the request of a local civilian organization. They had not prepared the landing site correctly, which caused trouble. The only involvement of FEMA was they provided the generator.

Where's FEMA, Wally?

The owners of a corporation are called the share holders. Even in a "private agreement" they are paid by the share, and have to declare that to the IRS, and SEC.

I hope someone who actually understands the law handled all this for you.
Nope. Not necessary, Wally.

Payments made, even between father and son, are regulated and taxed by the government. If the payment was made by your son, and not by the purchaser of the corporation, then your son owes taxes on the purchase, and then you owe taxes on the transfer from your son. That is the reason that any reasonable financial advisor would tell you to get the money from the purchaser, and not from your son.
You don't owe taxes for purchasing stock, Wally. You obviously don't know what a trust is either.

Saying it is a "private agreement" does not get you out of paying taxes on a $27.5 million capital gain. If it did, then everything would be called a "private agreement."

Remember that a corporation is a state entity, which only exists because a state allowed it to exist. They have to be fully informed of any ownership change, along with the federal government.
No capital gain, Sybil.

Many modern gas heaters use electricity for the controls. That is just reality.
Gas water heaters do not use electricity. Gas furnaces providing forced air heating only use electricity for the fan.
Piezo ignition do not need electricity.
It uses a small amount of electricity, if you have one.
A car battery would not be needed for them.
You can use pretty much any battery. A car battery is the cheapest option.
They use mechanical energy to generate electricity.
Nope. They use electricity.
So you push a button(creating mechanical energy), and that creates a spark.
Nope. The spark is created by a pulse of electricity providing the mechanical stress.
Do not hook your car battery to your gas heater. It is not safe.
It is usually not even necessary, since gas heaters have pilot lights and do not use electricity at all.

Trump does not have to pay taxes on something that generates no income, Wally. Charitable donations are also allowed under tax law. Charity is not disgusting, Wally.

trump's hotel generates no money? You may well be right Night.

Basically, if trump can overvalue his hotel rooms, he can deduct a lot of money against his taxes. It is a common scam.

Not yet realized. No tax yet.
Earl claims his son sold the company, and then gave Earl $27.5 million in a "private deal." That is realized capital gains, which Earl says is part of a "private deal" between father and son, so no taxes were owed... Obviously, that is nonsense. Now Earl says he has taken that money and invested it with a financial advisor who can guarantee no less than 10% returns, with no possibility of anything less than that. Again that is some major red flags, but it is also taking realized capital gains and investing them in something else.

You have gotten literally everything wrong here. Go ahead, attach a car battery to your gas water heater. It will probably turn out fine. :palm:
