We have gotten along fabulously for 40 years without formal marriage. Why screw that up by asking the permission of a state or church?

Controllable libido is the biggest blessing a man can have.

When just anybody is allowed to breed, sexually unattractive people are going to be born.

I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with not having an active dating life.

Lots of priests, bishops, and nuns have opted for celibacy and making God their priority in life.

Widows and widowers understandably may not be emotionally capable or ready for dating. Relationships are hard work, and other priorities may be involved.

I see the problem cropping up where grievance and
an unwarranted sense of entitlement are at play with involuntary celibates.

Agreed.

People have a right to choose for themselves, not for others.

The difference is that a priest, for example, chooses to be celibate. An incel, an involuntarily celibate, person feels they don't have a choice about their celibacy and seeks to blame others for it....up to and including forcing women to have sex with them.

If we think about it, who volunteers to be fucked up?
Who volunteers to be sexually unattractive for that matter?

I vividly remember that my dating circumstances changed dramatically when I decided to become that 'bad boy' and treat women like shit..........they ate it up.

I personally think that the Incel term was coined from all those women who don't want to face the reality of their shitty choices when they were younger and thought they were 'hot'.
