Note the screen name of the engineer and builder of this electric vehicle. Your Volt registration will cost more than my annual fuel bill, and your volt uses more KW per mile than this electric car does.
So, in order for an electric car to be worthwhile, it has to pass your custom-built one of a kind car. You should certainly inform the automobile assoc, they have a new standard to meet.
However the rest of us are competing and whipping ICEs which are yesterdays technology.

You claimed that righties were buying bigger and bigger vehicles with giant engines, so I simply pointed out that I do no such thing. in fact, YOU are the one who has a vehicle that is huge and a gross polluter compared to what I drive. I never told you what you need to drive, even if you ARE driving something that wastes far more energy than what I drive.
OMG, I just checked out the charging specs on the Volt. 3.6KW? I am sorry to hear. Can you retrofit that thing with something a little faster? I slow charge at night sometimes, but when I do a lot of driving I like to charge at 10KW.
I missed being forced to buy electric. What electric vehicle do you drive, since we are being forced?
How many ads to you see on TV for electrics? Have you ever seen a Volt or Bolt commercial? Nope,big engine ICEs are pushed to the people. What does this being forced look like?
I believe the Volt is the only one that has electric and ICE. GM found that people were not using the ICE enough to keep it running correctly so they programmed it to run on the motor occassionally . It also keeps the gas in the tank from going bad.
Not the problems you ICE users face is it?

I have rode in several electric cars & they seem fine, like any other minus the engine noise..

It wastes a lot of energy to haul a dead ICE drive system around. Why would you buy a car that wastes so much energy and charges so slowly?
Because it is not only electric but it removes the problem of electric range anxiety. Many ICE users are afraid to go electric because they fear running out of juice. In many locals, the network of charging stations have not been installed yet. They will be. However, the range of the vehicles is getting longer and longer.
So you bought a car that wastes a shitload of energy hauling around a dead ICE in order to satisfy your ICE anxiety problem? Do you have any charge anxiety with that tiny 3 kw charger?

I am happy with my Volt. No problems at all. I run on almost all-electric. You are trying so hard to criticize what has been a great deal in my opinion. I suggest you don't buy one. This is not a thread about cars. It is about leftys choosing cars that are better for the environment and not traveling in steel billboards to their manhood. Rightys should know by now the end of ICEs is near. Right-wing attitudes will make us the last to join the future cars and we will have to scramble to catch up. Auto companies see the huge profits per vehicle, especially in pick ups. Electric car margins are much smaller. That is why they are not advertised. It distills down to near term profits every time. This is America. It is all about money, short term profits.

They are not doing the speed limit. Many States consider the left lane a passing lane and the speed limit is about 10mph higher while passing (some States don't specify it, but still consider the left lane a passing lane only).
If people are driving the speed limit and passing the Prius (or any other car in the left lane), and cop sees it, they will ticket the driver in the left lane.
Boring people like you will buy the electric cars. You're the same people who drive Honda Fits, Nissan Cubes, and whatever that car is that gerbils are driving on the TV.
