That is a silly implication. Helping the poor isn't about funding some supposed trip to Canada. I suspect you know this and are just trolling.

Actually I'm kind of huge leap from Jewish. I'm German/Dutch. Maybe that's why I like bratwurst, chocolate, and beer so much.

I live with, and take care of my Mom. The vacation is for both of us. I saved, and sold, but I'm not even close, so Mom dipped into savings leftover from a car accident lawsuit. She wants to get away on vacation as much as me. The last time we went together was 2009. I won't be setting foot in a casino. They have all the Indian casinos all over where we live, and I don't even get to them.

Not poor, I'm disabled with limited income. If I didn't live at home, I'd have a tough time paying for things though.

Horseshit. An American conservative's idea of helping people who need help is to kick the person in the face hoping that sufficient kicking will eventually get the person to stop from needing help.

I've lived in both very low-income neighborhoods, and in relatively-high-income 'hoods. Hands down, the poorer ppl are far more generous than the better-off.

That being said, I think Jade is interested in what we personally have done to help out those who need help.
