Somewhere along the line, we forgot that just because something is legal, it is not necessarily appropriate. If trump tells a 16 year old high school sophomore in Georgia that he might have a modeling contract for her, if she has sex with him... That might technically be legal. But a 74 year old man tricking a 16 year old child into having sex with him is not appropriate.

The manifests are the key piece of physical evidence, and they do not show either trump or Clinton going to Epstein's Island. Both flew on Epstein's plane. Clinton flew on Espstein's plane with aid workers to various aid meetings, and trump road on the plane on double dates with disturbingly young looking girls.

Gaetz's problem here is no one cares what you feel you can depend on or not. You are not the judge or jury that will decide Gaetz's fate.

If he can get out ahead of this, he might be able to avoid a court hearing... But so far his defense has been weak.

That seems like a personal decision, none of my business. On the other hand, if you were having sex with her when she was 18, and you were 45, I would judge you. It would be technically legal, but it is inappropriate. If someone was to have sex with a girl when she was 13, and he was 40, he would deserve to go to prison. It would be both illegal, and inappropriate.

The age gap is the same in absolute number of years, but in maturity level it changes as we get older. A 30 year old can make adult decisions as to who she wants to have sex with. A 13 year old not so much.

odd.....there is no indication that Trump was ever on an Epstein plane.....did you just decide it would be fun to make that up and post it?......

People throughout history have gone to prison for things they did not do. Why does it happen? There is evidence that can be interpreted as the person being guilty. Witnesses can also lie. Or there can be all sorts of miscarriages of justice.

This is all why it is an important right to be able to put on a defense. Gaetz is free to refuse to put forward any defense, but that is a very bad decision.

In Gaetz's case, there is witness statements again him, and paper records proving he provided travel for the child. Add into that he did not provide a separate hotel room for her to stay in, and her statement that she stayed with him starts sounding very believable. Add into it that there is a recording of him, provided by him, of him discussing a sexual relationship with her...

You can argue that maybe that is not beyond a reasonable doubt, but that would be a defense. The prosecution will argue it is beyond a reasonable doubt. It does at least sound like probable cause, which means it sounds like it is going to court. Even if found not guilty, a trial would cost Gaetz a lot.

Both trump and Clinton rode on Epstein's plane. The flight logs show that, and when you deny trump was ever on Epstein's plane, that is an absolute lie. What the flight logs do not show is either going to Epstein's island. There is no physical evidence either went there.

There is one witness who says she saw Clinton from afar on Epstein's island, and multiple witnesses who say they partied up close and personal with trump on Epstein's island, but no physical evidence to back any of that up. We do have physical evidence that trump and Epstein partied together with very young women, and that trump transported children to give to Epstein.

Gaetz claims that he recorded a conversation with her for the FBI. If she does not exist, then the FBI has a recording of Gaetz ranting to himself about having sex with a 17 year old girl... While not legally worse, that is far crazier.
