Well there are other factors at play. California is also more racially mixed than the average state. And California is surrounded by states with looser gun control, which Californians are able to get guns from.

As for Connecticut, the crime rate has been dropping there.

But it's far easier to kill people with guns than it is with other weapons. Compare the number of mass shootings to the number of mass stabbings. We'll always have murder, but without assault rifles, we'll have a lot less.

I thought you lefties claimed that everyone of a certain group, in this case gun owners, shouldn't be punished because of what a small number of a group do? No, I don't think it's dictatorial or a punishment. But even if you do, this would only be one thing. So when will New Zealand have a real dictatorship due to their new gun control?
