They are matched up quite well and it would be difficult for anyone to say who is the better team!

Some things just have to be played out!

I am just going to say, that the team who makes the fewest mistakes, on SUNDAY, will probably win.

Just one stupid mistake by either team could lose this game!

And while we are on the topic, what would be the solution to devastating head injuries in football? Violence is part of the game, but what could be done to reduce life threatening injuries to the head?

I think there is really nothing can be done about unintentional injuries, but I think for illegal hits, severe fines are warranted.

Do the collars some wear help? I’ll have to research.

I have a big pot of Chili con Carne’ slow cooking on my gas range ;) I’ve made Texas Cavier, and pico de gallo to serve with freshly made Tortillas from H‑E‑B. They are better than my homemade torts. I like the corn/flour one the best, they are a cross between the two. A perfect marriage to me!

Dessert is the last of the Christmas cookies I had frozen.

It was promoted as such cause it was the last game of the day when New Years Day was all about watching college football, attempt to keep the TV audience watching, otherwise, West Coast thing. I imagine it would be similar to the way the Big East or ACC basketball tournaments probably played on the other coast, huge here, casual attention out west

Probably right, but I recommend returning to one platoon football, eliminates the mobile 390lb lineman along with faster than light defensive backs, plus, ain’t many offensive special players are going to put their bodies on the line defensively. Football is the only sport where the offense doesn’t play defense

I have a friend who has coached on all levels up to college and he thinks eliminating the helmets over time would do it, kids leaning the game earlier wouldn’t be taught, nor have the desire, to use the helmet as a weapon

Neither is happening, but would be interesting if they did

You’re older than I am but I’m no spring chicken and when i was a kid the Cotton Bowl and Fiesta Bowl were in the morning, the Rose Bowl was mid day and the Sugar and Orange Bowl in the evening. I’m not aware of the Rose Bowl ever being the final game of the day on New Year’s Day.

I'm hungry just reading your menu. Great game! Mahomes was spectacular although he gave me a fright when he left with that ankle injury. He needs to rest it up before next week because the Bills will give him a challenge. ;)

He was feisty, frustrated because Andy wanted the ankle checked and Mahomes didn’t want to leave the field. I hope it heals with rest! Henne did a great job as a fill in!

Henne did great starting with his first drive. You could see by the look on Mahomes' face that he was dying to get back in the game!
