Pakistan

Same as you want us to do with Iran Damo ?

Yeah right like we are going to know where all the nukes are.

Go in, destroy the nukes then get the hell back out and let them sort their own stuff out. Seriously, only handle what may be an actual issue for us.

I agree, but that is also the approach we should have taken in Iraq. Somehow Bush would find a way to muck it up as well. Perhaps we won't have to deal with it. India has a far greater fear of those nukes than we do. Perhaps they can handle it... of course that might spark a wildfire between India and Muslims as a whole. Totallly FUBAR.

Side note: I would be curious to know how much/little we know about their nukes (quantity and location etc...)

Are you serious?

Uh oh, I sense another "cakewalk" coming.

We have zero right to do that anyway.

I seriously doubt we have the intelligence to know exactly where all the pakistani nukes are located.

Umm Iraq did not have any Nukes SF....
sorry if this comes as a shock to you.

Seriously, how long can we keep taking these "great" ideas From the crowd that brought you the iraq war?

Talk about itchy trigger fingers. lets bomb iran, and then pakistan.

yeah, that will work out well.

Just making a point.

Seriously, just let them fix their own issues. During chaos people will not be properly caring for the weapons, they'll simply cease to work by the time things sort themselves out. Nuclear weapons aren't like rocks, they don't work if you don't constantly care for them.

sorry if this comes as a shock to you.

I meant in the sense that we should go in quickly, remove the threat (saddam and the baath leadership) and then get the hell out. Not that they had nukes. Sorry that I forgot to spell it out completely for you.

We know the same thing we always know; jackshit

Perhaps if you bothered to read what has already been posted on this thread you wouldn't be wasting our time with your mindless dribble.

1) If you think that we are up against sling-shots and muskets in Iraq then you are an idiot.

2) Yes, it has certainly lasted longer than our time in WWII. But you seem to forget that in WWII we did not fight with one hand tied behind our back and the second hand cut off.

3) I never suggested starting a war WITH Pakistan, that is simply your feeble attempt at a strawman. What I did do is ask others for their thoughts on how to handle a potential nightmare of a situation. On the one hand you have Musharraf who has now tossed out democracy and on the other you have a group of terrorists/revoluntiaries (depending on ones point of view) that absolutely cannot be allowed to gain control of Pakistans nukes. So the question was NOT should we start a war with Pakistan, it was how do we approach this situation? How do we ensure the extremists don't get the nukes while at the same time not supporting a move away from democracy.

I swear I don't know what gave you the idea we can do anything. We can't. The Pakistani people do not support Musharaff and they like us even less. They have been getting more and more fed up with Musharraf for his (by our standards) feeble, attempts at gathering up terrorists on the borders. So we were supporting a guy who wasn't really doing shit for us anyway, who pissed off his own people because he even appeared to do anything for us. What does that tell you about how the people of Pakistan view us SF? Get it through your head. They don't like us. They don't like what we did in Iraq. They don't like what we did in Afghanistan. The whole world doesn't think like SF thinks, and now you want to go and shove more SF-think down their throats.

Yeah, it's a bad situation and it wil probably get real ugly. But there isn't anything we can do about it, no matter what those neocon fucktards who got us into this mess, over at the National Review tell you. Our hands are tied. This is only the first of the huge price we will be paying for the foreign policy you voted for and supported.

How do you like it so far?

1) If you think that we are up against sling-shots and muskets in Iraq then you are an idiot.

Nope .. you're the idiot.

Iraq had been unders sanctions for 12 years and compared to the US arsenal, they are fighting with muskets and zero aircraft.

2) Yes, it has certainly lasted longer than our time in WWII. But you seem to forget that in WWII we did not fight with one hand tied behind our back and the second hand cut off.

Same bullshit conservatives said about Vietnam.

What you forget is that WWII was a noble cause, the war on Iraq is not .. and the much of the rest of the world was on our side .. no nation wants any part of the mindless adventure of Iraq and the "coalition" has dissolved into almost nothing.

Then what are you suggesting that the US do in Pakistan? Do you have any clue? All you said is "we must do something" .. like what?

To you, what was the 'noble cause' in WWII? Why?

I'm curious to know what makes you think we have any right to destroy their nukes or attack their country.

yeah, my point as well.
I guess because we are the imperialist bullies that can....

Darn, I miss the USSR, at least by comparison we looked good.
