Question for people who want both universal healthcare and open borders

This would also encourage illegals to come here specifically to use our hospitals. It's one thing to allow hospital access, but we shouldn't sweeten the deal by also saying if we find out you're a criminal, you still get to walk.

To clarify, I'm not in favor of aggressively tracking down illegals and deporting them. I'm just saying there are plenty of ways to go about it that don't discourage them from seeking medical attention when they need it.

That is rather vague, not sure what that means but I don't think hospitals, dr's & nurses what to be concerned about it either but I don't think a hospital, nor a state/city should be a sanctuary either...

Should they be accountable to pay for their care??

He said after the first week or so he was catching on-all the same story, just got here & op's I need surgery........ Rich uncle sam will take care of it, surely he won't mind doing so for my precious 90yr old gramma from the old country..

American citizens can barely get "most of what we have here." A lot of ppl think you can just walk into a social security or "welfare" office and demand free stuff. They don't just check your ID and give you stuff.
 
What we do over here is to get thousands of immigrants to work in our hospitals, pay them poorly and moan about them constantly until Corvid 19 strikes, at which point they morph into saints fast..

There's a shitload of paperwork and jumping through hoops on certain things at times. I believe I have to go through a reevaluation process annually myself.

Yep, my late husband was disabled due to severe heart disease. Even so he had to go see the social security doctor every other year to make sure his heart hadn't miraculously healed itself. :rolleyes:

Which is good, but the Democrats in the last primary all agreed that illegals should get healthcare. They want to change the system we have. Add that to the fact that they don't want to deport anyone and it's open borders.

I'm really fed up with this country.

One party dominant by British American money to support larger costs of healthcare, by not wanting it to be Universal.

The other party dominated by Jewish American money to support larger costs of healthcare, by wanting to cover Illegals.

It's basically Beavis & Butthead.

They wonder why I don't vote?

Yeah, it's not really a fair situation. We should be jailing the people who hire illegals too, but it's harder to catch them than the illegals themselves. But both the illegals and the ones who hire them are criminals and should be prosecuted as best we can.

Democrats & Republicans both have a lack of logic, but at least Democrats appear to empathize more, Republicans are notorious for very low EQ's.

Even Republican candidates have low EQ's, I mean Trump & W Bush both have much lower EQ's than Obama.

Your problem is I'm sure there are a number of politicians who have hired illegal help in their homes so they aren't going to want to pass laws to have themselves arrested. But politicians aside the government probably isn't going to want to go into well to do homes across the country and check if all the domestic help, for example, is here legally.

I'll be honest, I have no idea if my cleaning lady is here legally. She was referred to me by two other SF families. I didn't ask them and I haven't asked her.

This may not be P.C. but lets be real, if you see a bunch of Hispanic men sitting outside of Home Depot (day laborers) chances are they probably aren't here legally. In theory the government could bust them or bust anyone who pulls up to hire them like they do people who solicit prostitution. But they don't and I understand why. They don't want to go into people's homes and arrest a bunch of rich people who hire maids and domestic help. And they prefer not to put business owners in jail either. Though in theory if you proposed draconian penalties it might dry up the demand for such services.
