Poor Nordbutt.......They do not need all those parts. EVs have far, far fewer parts to go bad. No filters, air, or oil. No transmission fluids, since they do not have one.
The Regime are too busy atm working on developing various systems for implementing a CBDC (central bank digital currency). So many people are irate that the Regime refuses to step up and mandate toy cars.
Oh so you are that stupid.
When you have a RATE, what it MEANS is if you had the same amount of EV's on the road as ICE, it would still be the same in terms of how many more ICE caught fire.
It means whether you have 1 million of each and ICE and EV or 1B of each ICE and EV, the ICE vehicle will have 20 times MORE fires than the EV.
I did not expect that idiot gfm to understand how basic math works, and now we know you do not either.
What are you even arguing you simpleton?
If for instance some generic cell phone broke down 20 times more than an Apple cell phone, that is good DATA to show which is more reliable.
You DO NOT counter that by saying 'ya but Apple has way more cell phones out their in the market'.
I understand math is hard and some people literally cannot be explained how it works. But the quantity of each is IRRELEVENT to the point.
In pure math terms X catches fire 20 times more than Y catches fire.
And in this example X is Ice vehicle and Y is EV's. So no matter what the total quantity of X or Y you plug in, the '20 times MORE' factor DOES NOT change.
Stupid? You must be preposterous!
It's the law of averages, dumb fuck.
It means if you have an EV, is it more likely to catch fire and burn than an ICE. An EV is 10 to 20 times less likely to burn.
Huh? Well, you got the first part right...
You finally had something correct for once and now you're running away from it...In fact, I reversed it in typing. EVs burn at a far lower rate than ICEs. It was a typo.

We have 3 electric cars in our family. Our next cars will also be electric. We have had lots and lots of ICEs. Even you idiots can figure out that we know something about them through many decades of experience. We prefer EVs after living with and driving ICEs . You rightys on this board hate EVs and have had zero experience. That makes you less qualified to compare them.

So? What works for you obviously doesn't work for most Americans. That's why most Americans won't buy, don't want, and walk away from EV's. The market has decided, and EV's aren't what the market wants. That's been true for over a century now.
The ONLY thing that's changed this time around is the radical environmentalist Left and their supporters have put the force of government--read that as authoritarian dictatorship of government--behind EV's and are forcing them down everyone's throats against their will. That is the ONLY reason EV's have gotten any traction in the market.
Jay misses the truth of it. EV's are fine in many urban settings, but even there they have limitations. They don't work for rural areas worth a shit and people that live in those areas know it.
They will work for nearly everyone. There is no arcane usage required. They are simply better ways to commute and shop. You Luddites spend a lot of time conjuring up special circumstances that EVs may not serve. They get over 200 miles of range. When GM built the Volt in 2013, they did an arduous study that showed its EV range was adequate for 83 percent of the people. Now the range is 4 or 5 times longer and there are lots of charging stations. EVs will work for almost everybody.
