Millions got insurance coverage that they couldn't get before, or better coverage than they had before. That saved them a lot in medical costs.
Your mindset costs all of us. It holds us back and is based on a philosophy that makes most of us the victims of a few. Those increased premiums were most likely simply due to the greed of insurance companies. Simple capitalism.

Sorry about your wife. My wife has health issues that require 8k per month meds. We dont have ACA but private insurance. Both of our wives conditions have been around long before ACA or Obama. In the past folks would purchase private insurance and those who couldn't afford it would be on an indigent plan of some sort or they would incur massive debt should a crisis happen with no insurance. The problem was that folks who could afford insurance refused to purchase it and then when tragedy happens they are hit hard. Same as the guy who doesn't buy home owners insurance and his home burns down. We are not responsible for that bad decision. I personally knew several people who made the decision to not purchase health ins to free up money for other things. In one case my buddy wanted a new car. I know because I made this decision for 3 years (no ins) and 5 years catastrophic coverage. During those 5 years I became very sick. I refused some expensive tests fearing the discovery of something real bad which would make getting good ins impossible. Thankfully got better and paid my premium for better ins. My point is that much of this issue was folks not wanting to pay by choice as they had the money. Now because of obama costs are through the roof.
Some good things could have been done to lower costs but the swamp wouldn't allow it ( both sides). Beyond that if you rather spent your money on dining out than buying insurance dont cry later. The answer is not giving it free to some on the backs of others. You guys dont care because their rich. Well I'm not rich and its killing my family financially.
1400 per.month this upcoming year. Double because of Obama. My taxes higher because of it and going even higher if your socialists get the white house.
I dont know how those on ACA and getting subsidies or free coverage dont feel like bums knowing that others are working and having that money stolen from them by government to pay for it. So not freaking right or fair.
Very few of the 1% "earned it". They get rich by taking advantage of others. Usually by skimming off of the hard work of others. It's doubtful that you "work like a dog". Most likely you just make sure that your employees work like dogs.
Capitalism, if unchecked, always degenerates into a banana republic, with a corrupt government, controlled by a few very wealthy families and everyone else living in abject poverty.
And Trump is on track to increase the debt by more than Obama did, if reelected. But you probably suffer from ODS, as well as TDS. So what was horrible about Obama is just fine with trump.

When I started my business I worked 14hours a day 7 days a week. Did that for over a year. Then I got relief Friday's I was able to leave at 5pm to spend a date night with the wife. 6 years later I'm still working 7 days a week only 9 - 10 hours a day. Take about three days a month almost completely off for fishing and shooting tournaments. So I work like a dog.
When someone agrees to perform a task for a price or wage why do you consider that taking advantage of others? That's the problem with you liberals. You agree to the wage then bitch about how the owner or CEO makes more money on your back.
You should be grateful that you have work instead you are spiteful. Jealous that it isn't you making the bigger money yet too lazy to do what it takes to open and run one. Then there is risk and discipline. I saved for 8 years, quit my old job, and took a chance. Very difficult. Very risky.

Generally, that someone agrees to a wage because they don't have much choice. It's usually accept that wage or starve. Liberals donate far less to charity because they usually have far less disposable income.
I had a job a bit like that. Usually 40 hours by Thursday and often working from Saturday morning right through to Sunday afternoon. Management was terrible at project management and setting deadlines. And I, and the rest of my team, were all salaried, so no overtime. About every other hour was free labor for the company.
If you're still working that much then you can't be a very good manager.

As for who pays for what you save, nobody does. Without multiple insurance companies in the way, the whole system will function at lower cost.
