Is blue man group a race?

It's not really about about color. It's about individuals feeling as if they are the "same" group of people. It's about identity as well. It's a little disingenuous to say it's as meaningless as color. Color is oftentimes an indicator the closer genetic relatedness.

You have simply misunderstood. Color is not race. you have three races. (much mixed today) with most negroids being darker that the other two races. Mongoid, Caucoid, and negroid. each having specific characteristics. pigmentation ranges from pale (even albino) to ebony. hues of red and yellow being environmantally based.. but in any event, the cultural traits you listed are Not color based, but as the term says. culturally based.

Right. and it just so happens that historically it has been the case that the same sets of individuals who are in the same racial group tend to also be in the same cultural group. And finer than that there's even an "italian" look or a "russian" look, or an "irish" look. These also indicate and genetic component to their "national" ethnicity.
