Socialized medicine a global failure

About a decade ago, other posters on another discussion board dubbed him "Free-dumb". Now you know why, and which is why I have him and his like minded brethren on IA....trying to have a rational, logical and fact based discussion with him is like banging your head against a wall....it feels so good when you stop.

Your placement of anyone on IA is because you're a coward and know you can't defend what you say. Pussy. Keep proving it by hiding, bitch.

No because it cost less. That is what cheaper is. The cost is half what ours is. Do you really not understand those fundamental principles of the discussion. Then what are you doing here.? Do some homework. We are paying the larger cost now. Paying the half cost is .....cheaper.

And it's being paid for, by someone else; but as long as it's not you, you don't care who pays for it.

The percentage of Americans who would prefer a system like Canada's is FAR larger than the percentage of Canadians who would prefer a system like the USA.
If their system is so great, why do some Canadian heads of state come to the USA for special treatments?

If our system is so great...why do a million of our people go to other countries for treatment every year?

If our system is so great...why is it that almost nobody in any of the other industrialized nations would trade their system for ours?

Our system is an abomination right now. We pay much more for our healthcare per person than ANY COUNTRY on the planet...and our national health is ranked with the third world countries. Not a single industrialized nation ranks lower.

Physician Shortages Are Here To Stay

With the supply of U.S.-born medical professionals falling so far short of demand, real discussion of immigration policy has to begin taking place as it specifically pertains to healthcare. Current estimates suggest that the United States will face a shortage of 46,100 to 90,400 physicians by 2025. The current shortage is no surprise, however, as it was predicted as far back as 1990, when

Why do you think there is a shortage of foreign born physicians?

Let’s see if you can honestly answer.

Currently, more than one-quarter of physicians and surgeons in the United States are foreign-born.

Medical education in the US is too expensive.

FMG .. foreign medical graduates are very well-trained judging by their scores on the ECFMG.. The only hinderance is if they aren't proficient in English. Even if they have graduated somewhere like Beirut and have been in practice they have to jump thru a lot of hoops to get licensed in the US. .. usually that means doing a residency in the US.

Get you some foreigner that isn't proficient in English. Hopefully, he/she will fuck something up.

At 82, you won't be around long for it to matter.

We also have a lot of Americans who are going to medical schools abroad because it is cheaper... and they too score well on the ECFMG.

The physician shortage will be severe if we keep pricing medical education out of reach.

Never had a problem seeing a well qualified, U.S. trained doctor.

Hopefully, one of the foreign ones you see that isn't proficient in English will fuck up.

You really are sick.. Do you have an internist?

You're the one that seems like the foreign doctors that, in your words, may not be proficient in English.

I rarely go to the doctor. Last time I went, he was from the U.S., trained in the U.S., and was proficient in English.

Foreign doctors have to be proficient in English and take the ECFMG.

I'd love to see these nutters try to replace 'socialised medicine' anywhere with their freemarket shambles!

I used to work with them to help them get into US residency programs.. Lots of them will go to underserved areas that American docs won't go. They make a valuable contribution not only in high density urban areas but also in isolated rural areas.. .. and the results are excellent and measurable.

I have a doctor trained overseas and she is excellent. I like her holistic approach to medicine. Drugs as a last option. I believe we need more of that in the USA.

Do you have verifiable proof? You make lots of claims you have yet to back up.
