The founders said we are a democracy

it's amazing how modernists spend so much time arguing about the power of words......are we a Democracy......are we a Republic......everyone knows how our government works, regardless of what you want to name it........if you don't like the way it works you can always change it.....at least if enough of you want to....

"Our Way or the Highway" Means That Their Way Is the Low Way

Changing it through the ruling class's intentionally obstructive means is a non-starter.

I think you are confusing free speech with free press about something being published.

None of the Bill of Rights applies to private entities. It originally only applied to the federal government but has since been expanded so that most, but not all, of the rights also restrict states.

The Pushy Ones Turn a Sidewalk Into a Sideshow

Freedom of screech takes away the public's right to be left alone. A public demonstration is an invasion of privacy. Let them assemble in a hall and, at most, politiely and silently invite people to attend.

The Warren SCROTUS decreed that the young elitists' right to harass people overrode the rights of us, the people (@StupidSpeak: "of we, the people")

We are a democracy except for one notable exception, the electoral college. If you run for dog catcher in Walla Walla, the one with the most votes wins. If you run for class president, it is the count that matters. The President of a union is the one with the most votes.
Yes, ITN sock, we are a Democracy and that is good. The majority rules. To say that is wrong says minority rule is better.

Not insane. Just lame. A dude who fancies himself a whole lot smarter than he actually is. Probably was that guy in all the classes who THOUGHT he knew more than all the faculty. You know the type...they usually can't complete a degree because, well, they aren't that sharp.

But they talk so loud and so proud.

He's pretty "basic".

You are describing yourself again. Inversion fallacy.

Main articles: History of direct democracy in the United States and Initiatives and referendums in the United States
In the New England region of the United States, towns in states such as Vermont decide local affairs through the direct democratic process of the town meeting.[35] This is the oldest form of direct democracy in the United States, and predates the founding of the country by at least a century.

Direct democracy was not what the framers of the United States Constitution envisioned for the nation. They saw a danger in tyranny of the majority. As a result, they advocated a representative democracy in the form of a constitutional republic over a direct democracy. For example, James Madison, in Federalist No. 10, advocates a constitutional republic over direct democracy precisely to protect the individual from the will of the majority. He says,

There is no such thing as a 'representative democracy'. Democracies have no representatives. There is no such thing as a 'direct democracy'. There is only a democracy, which is government by popular vote.
A republic is not a democracy. The phrase 'constitutional republic' is redundant.

The republicans USE the fact that the word democracy had a more limited definition at that moment to further the Lie that America is not a Democracy

That is why the refuse to say Democratic Party

They say Democrat party

So it sounds less like democracy

They don’t even have the honesty to use the CORRECT NAME

They hate democracy and are trying to demean and kill it here

You are hallucinating. No one is refusing to say 'Democrat party'. There is no democracy.
