We are... for breakfast/lunch distribution and care package deliveries...we'll go to the store, I'm sure...
Get some delivery to support local businesses...
But everything non-essential has been shut here for a few days... and only the drive-thru at the bank so we stocked up on cash;)...

Hoping the rain stops VERY soon...most of us are literally underwater...good thing we can swim...
Wat are you doing to keep busy? Hope you're all feeling well...hope the GF is staying safe....

I'm going over to the car dealership this morning, but nowhere else today. They won't be open for business, but a few are coming in to do some paperwork for an hour or two.

Rain and fog is good! It takes the virus out of the air. Being the owner of a car with no top, rain isn't one of the things I look forward to. If rain and fog help clean the air, let it rain!

GF is working despite most of her staff has been let go for the time being. We're doing fine (except for the pinched nerve in my back, going to chiropractor next week), we have allergies, but nothing worth being concerned about. All is well....so far. I hope you and everyone stays safe.

I've been reading that too, and trying to puzzle out how -- if true -- it could be effective. Malaria is caused by a parasite; quinine interrupts part of its life cycle. Quinine also comes with some pretty horrendous side effects. I hope that ppl don't start hoarding tonic water and ODing themselves in a desperate attempt to stay healthy.

They say Chloroquine. is an antiviral drug also.
Until recently, human coronaviruses (HCoVs), such as HCoV strain OC43 (HCoV-OC43), were mainly known to cause 15 to 30% of mild upper respiratory tract infections. In recent years, the identification of new HCoVs, including severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus, revealed that HCoVs can be highly pathogenic and can cause more severe upper and lower respiratory tract infections, including bronchiolitis and pneumonia. We demonstrate that chloroquine, a widely used drug with well-known antimalarial effects, inhibits HCoV-OC43 replication in HRT-18 cells, with a 50% effective concentration (± standard deviation) of 0.306 ± 0.0091 μM and a 50% cytotoxic concentration (± standard deviation) of 419 ± 192.5 μM, resulting in a selectivity index of 1,369.

Hi everyone...reach out to your neighbors if you can....there's more of them in need than you might think....our local university is closed now...the kids have to move out by tomorrow...thankfully, they donated all their perishables instead of tossing them and many families got a nice package of fruits, veggies, yogurt, etc. to help them through this rough time...which now includes flooding.....bad timing for this to have happened....:(

Is there a good time for a pandemic? /snark :)

There will be lots of backbiting and hindsight on this, but the fact remains Trump bears partial responsibility for bad mouthing government agencies, undercutting them and downplaying the severity of the consequences for a lack of preparation.

Agreed on opinion. No, not a sock, but over half a dozen nutjobs on this forum, from both sides of the aisle but mostly on the right, have accused me of being one.

A couple of my neighbors are too old to easily get around, so even before all of this excitement, I've been running errands for them or running them around. You? What do you do?

They shouldn't be running around, you know ;) Do continue to run errands for them ...I'm sure they're very appreciative...
I've listed what we're doing many times.... It changes daily, though....

I've heard.....our restaurants have been closed....Lots of local support for the restaurants/bars/small businesses....they're hanging in there....

FWIW, I'd like to get back into CAP, but have some medical issues in which to contend.
