It would certainly be impressive if I had actually remembered that, I suppose, but actually, when you type "Malcolm X assault rifle" into google, the first result is "M1 Carbine". Hey, I knew it was an assault rifle! Points for that, right?
 
My revolution will respond to the failures of previous socialist revolutions by being heavily ironic and otherwise not really being much of a revolution.

More than you'd imagine, since most would not consider the M1 carbine an assault rifle. It does however meet the criteria.

And again, you are wrong with regards to billy telling anyone about the group. If you notice, he didn't even know what watermark was talking about when watermark started this thread. watermark found out on his own. It's public knowledge with regards to the existence of groups.

I found out mostly because in the "group activity" thing, "The Shade Tree" is sometimes at the top rather than the group I belong to that most recently got a post.

Like an idiot, I mostly looked at the large magazine, which I was going to call a "banana clip" before looking it up and discovering that that was an idiotic term.

However, upon doing further research, it seems that a Carbine is just a short rifle. Looking at it again, it does seem rather short. But I did not really care at the time.

Most people that make groups don't make them private. In the past 90% of groups are just for simple fun and aren't taken seriously. So it's easy to see how one would have the default assumption that it's ok to post there.

Well, that's what a lot of people would say but it's a short rifle with an intermediate cartridge that's capable of full auto (well, technically only the M2 is but whatever) that takes detachable mags. It's an assault rifle. You won't hear that much in the states though because it's a favorite of Fudds and Fudds HATE anything that might be 'dangerous'.
 
Oh well. And I went through all that trouble to get usc back here again because I missed him. Good work guys! And regardless of who knew what when, Billy brags way too much about his special powers (which is hilarious in itself). If you were smart you'd have a talk with him about dummying up. He is the one who announced that "we (the mods) have reason to believe he is an old poster) about nofacts/alias. Of course every time you deny facts is alias I make sure to ask, well what did Billy mean by that then? And you make sure not to answer. :)

Yeah, I'd have a talk with him. But you know, march on. I'm leaving for a heavenly vacation. See you idiots the twelfth of remains to be seen. Maybe I will get myself a little grass hut and sell rum drinks down there! I am a great drink mixer, everyone always begs me to make drinks at their parties, so you never know. I am very disappointed with the mods. You don't see this as an infringement on the privacy you claim to respect. Billy crossed the line and all you guys do is joke about it. Now Occupant is gone. It give credence to the concept that you are poor moderators. This really makes all of you, except Socrates look bad. It makes the trust level of this site questionable.

Again, as it was explained there really was no way for Billy to know it was private if he was logged in. This wasn't some malevolent act of horrific malfeasance. He simply posted in a private social group that he didn't know was private until after posting.

We've now agreed as mods that we'll try not to post in groups we aren't members of without reason. (If somebody is doing something bad in a social group we'll go wading, otherwise not).

Billy didn't notify anybody of the group, Watermark and everybody can see the group exists without that, they can even tell who are members of the group.

Billy apologized. Now I know you dislike Billy, but he actually handles the job rather well. It's a delicate balance here as we try our best to be totally non-intervention. Sometimes that gets messed up because people cannot follow even our lax rules.

So says you, but your view of this matter is not shared. He overstepped his bounds. My liking or disliking Billy is not the issue and how dare you make the assumption you do.

His apology was a non- apology.

Occupant is gone. You are a disappointment again in that you do not understand how others feel about this.
