I honestly don't remember I'm quoting from memory also and the skidding problem sticks in my memory. You could be right not having a stabilizer bar may have been the problem.

I believe another reason the Corvair was dissed was that it "supposedly" became uncontrollable at high speeds because the front end was light (some said airborne) because of it's shape and light front end (engine in the rear).

Good morning all. Just bought a portable green house to put over the staghorn. It doesn't like direct sun light and a couple of things I tried to shade it didn't work. but this should do the trick unless we get strong winds now that the trees are gone.

That could be I don't remember that but then I was a teenager and sex was more important than old peoples cars like the Corvair.

I never had that happen,it handled pretty much like my VW Bug

The Fla panhandle. I have just 1. My mother started it from a clipping and gave it to me when it got to big for her to move inside during cold weather. It hung under my oak tree and thrived until the hurricane blew the oak over on top of him. He survived but really got banged up. I built a fram to rehang him. But with no trees he gets direct sun light which he doesn't like. The reason I am so protective is this plant is at least 50 yrs old. So i got the green house to get him shaded and hopefull come back to his previous splendor.

Awesome... I like that... I have some plants that are close, from cutting from ppl that mean a lot to me.. I have killed a few over the years though.. Hope it does well, well worth putting the greenhouse up.. When you get some trees again you can hang it outside again. Good luck w/ it..

Thanks. Wish I had a picture of it before the hurricane.

Another pile of BS.

I hope it helps and doesn't cook it. Do you think that permeable landscaping fabric might work too, or is that too dark?

Loved your description of the roast with teriyaki done in the smoker, so that's what we're having tonight. Smoked it for an hour and how it's in the crockpot.

That's incredible to have a green friend that age. We have a giant rosemary who comes inside in the winter that I got as a plantling in 1998, when my late husband and I got married. My youngest daughter has a sanseveria (snake plant) houseplant that I gave her. My dad gave it to me when my oldest son was born; so it's ~45 years old. I hope that you can save your staghorn and help him thrive again.

I really liked my Corvair,much more than a Pinto I had,so under powered,but a good city car.

My first car was a Nash Rambler. The only thing I liked about it is the seat back folded down into a bed. I surprised a few of girls at the drive in with that car.
