When Will We Recover From The Civil War? Now Is The Time.

Hello Nordberg,

Most of those Confed. statues were made in the 1950s and 60s during the black right marches. This was not about history but racism. The Civil war was long gone. They all had the same anti-black message. Some were erected in the 1920s the KKK hay days. They were messages of the south having no intention of accepting blacks as equals of allowing civil rights.

They are a total thumb in the eye of equality.

Very spiteful.

Time to put such hatred in our past and move forward.

We must end the Civil War.

You 100% cannot defend the cause of the CSA—or its monuments—without being anti-American.

Disagreed and it makes me doubt your education and knowledge of history.

The CSA split from the US and was willing to go it alone. It was the US that attacked and sought to destroy the CSA by forcibly dragging them back into the Union.

That said, while I think Lincoln exceeded his Constitutional authority, I'm glad the US remained a united nation due to global events in the 20th century. Hindsight is 20/20.

Hello Nordberg,

The way you're going? Your Civil War is going to end with high-velocity copper jacketed lead perforating your cranium.

Hello Nordberg,

We must end the Civil War.

Hiding it it not ending it. It's like Stalin and Mao trying to stomp out religion; all they did was drive it underground.

There are a lot of complaints that Trump is divisive, but your support for divisive actions from the Democrats is no different.

There are better ways than to destroy and burn something out of political motives.

What's the difference between that and ISIS? Not very much. Maybe an Alla Snackbar or 2.

Less beheadings and more bikinis.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

Me neither. I understand and support pointing out racism is wrong like slavery, but erasing the history from the public mind is merely letting the public stick their heads in the sand and ignore the lessons of the past.

We are well aware of what has happened, painfully aware. We do not need to be reminded of the hatred.

Slave holders became so powerful that they never had to admit it when they were wrong, forgot how to admit fault. Slavery was wrong but they never admitted it. Instead, they clung to false stereotypes of white supremacy. The only thing that really gave whites the power to enslave African blacks was the gun. If you took those slavers and stuck 'em in the African jungle with nothing more than the resident blacks had, they would quickly perish. African blacks had the knowledge to survive there off the land, had superior knowledge to the white invaders for that purpose. Knowledge is situational. There was nothing superior about white slavers. They simply had more advanced technology. Gunpowder was invented by the Chinese. Europeans didn't build that.

White slave holders of the American south used capitalism and technology to oppress black people and it was a shame. It was so shameful they couldn't admit it to themselves, told themselves lies, lies which have been perpetuated long after the lie tellers are gone. It is time to end the lies.

It is time to end racism.

Those statues are reminders of racism and lies.

They need to come down.

Our society needs that.

America needs that.

This is how we can make American great.

Take down all those statues.

Rename all of those namesakes of hatred and self-delusion.

It is time to finally make peace in the American Civil War.

Let it be done.

Since I'm here..allow me to inform people that there were black slaveowners and most white people owned no slaves at all.
Furthermore, most blacks sold into slavery were captured by opposing tribes and sold to Britons, who were the main slave traders.
The British slave trade was outlawed well before The Civil War.

And how many 'white' slaves did they o, racist?

How do you propose to end the Civil War while keeping the symbols of hatred and false superiority?

A) Dumbass. White people didn't go out into the bush and capture slaves. Their fellow Africans did that and sold them to British slavers.

B) You're too fucking ignorant and deluded to even attempt to have a rational discussion with.

What about the black slaveowners?

White slaveowners were few and far between, most people worked their own land themselves.

You are part of everything wrong in America today.

Take your ignorant wokeness and cram it right up your ass! Keep pushing, fucktard, you're going to be hurting when the Americans push back.

I'll be all out of sympathy for you, too.

How can we ignore the lessons of the Civil War when we have not learned them yet? Forcing symbols of hatred into the face of the oppressed is not learning any lessons.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

How do you propose to end the Civil War while keeping the symbols of hatred and false superiority?
Lee replied, as documented by New York Times:
I think it wiser, moreover, not to keep open the sores of war but to follow the examples of those nations who endeavored to obliterate the marks of civil strife, to commit to oblivion the feelings engendered.

Who is oppressed? Nobody's oppressed in America; Fuck you! :fu:

What you don't know is that The Civil War was over in 1865.

I suppose you never had a proper American History class or something.

You certainly have never endeavored to find out what really happened as is apparent by your stunning ignorance on the subject.
