Who's bitching about the war and Lincoln? The war is over. The monuments stand as a reminder of a bad part of our country's history in the hopes it never happens again.

Hey sport I'm not the one getting all paranoid about some statues from a war they started and lost. Those statues should be a reminder of how far this country has come and how much more needs to be done. So put on your big boy/girl panties and quit trying to change history.

First, you've already been shown, using your own words against you, that they weren't traitors.
Secondly, it isn't the people doing it, it's a few snowflakes that get their feeling hurt by looking at a piece of metal.
So why do you need monuments to traitors and losers if you've already accepted the history that they were traitors and losers?

Saying I am trying to change history is one of the stupidest comments on these forums in a good long time. There are about 120,000 libraries in the us. You dont know what a library is do you.

You can quit responding as I have no desire to debate closed minded clowns who can not accept the fact that In the 1800's slavery was the norm and this country was no better nor worse than the rest of the world. The Civil war was fought partly over slavery and right won out over wrong. Removing statues of people who were part of that evil is nothing more than an attempt by you liberals to hide the horrors of slavery and feel like you have somehow atoned for a great injustice. Well I hate to tell you that accomplishing noting history is history and needs to be remembered. Guess you've never heard of misplaced aggression.
