Controlled Opposition
Note my apathy
The site of a glorious American victory over the forces of evil could never offend me.
Except for those statues. The ones that trigger you.

Every time one of you bitches about the war and Lincoln, and/or when you covet your memorials to the "Lost Cause."
Who's bitching about the war and Lincoln? The war is over. The monuments stand as a reminder of a bad part of our country's history in the hopes it never happens again.
Cool. There's museums for that stuff, with security that would prevent traitors from felating the statues.
Isn't Gettysburg a museum? You don't think it has security?
Is Charlottesville a museum?
I've never mentioned Charlottsville, I am speaking, and have spoken only about Gettysburg. The Southern states can do as they please.
Actually, they can't. As history has demonstrated.
Do you oppose the people of Charlottesville and Nawlins, etc. removing monuments to CSA traitors?
I refuse to acknowledge your deflection. Do you, as some others here have, accuse me of being a racist?
Isn't celebrating the memory of the CSA bad enough?
I haven't seen anyone "celebrating" it. Have you?
You are being a paranoid psychopath. Just stop.

Unlike you I accept our history good and bad.
Considering the Civil War happened 100+ years before I was born, I don't pass judgment on people who had different moral values from those of today.
Hey sport I'm not the one getting all paranoid about some statues from a war they started and lost. Those statues should be a reminder of how far this country has come and how much more needs to be done. So put on your big boy/girl panties and quit trying to change history.
Therefore to argue the merits of statues most of wich were erected before I was born is pure stupidity.
So the statues have no merits.
Great.
Since they have no merits, let's tear them down since they're statues to people who fought for slavery.
If that's what they were fighting for, you might have a point. Since it wasn't, and you're too stupid to ever understand the true reasons, go ahead and continue to prove you're nothing but a moron.
