they would have also thought the same of the ACA........The Patriot Act and NDAA..........the assault weapons ban.....machine gun ban........and any other gun control law..........we've had a lot of tyrants over the last 150 years that they would have had another revolution over

The Founders wanted a Democracy. If you don't, then you don't want to keep their ideas.

As for how I'd improve their ideas, I'd eliminate the Electoral College, but I'd also restrict voting based on IQ. In order to vote, you should have an IQ of at least 100.

from the left, certainly................but I also remember a whole lot of those on the right being very angry with bill clinton...........so, not really since the civil war...........got anything else? what has he done to destroy the constitution......other than violate the 2nd Amendment............

the founders built a republic.............not a democracy. they knew a democracy would fail. do you need some quotes on that subject from them? why do you not want a republic?

A Republic, or a "Representative Democracy," is a form of Democracy. The reason we're a Republic is because we elect our representatives. I don't want to change that. However, I do want to improve the process in which we elect our representatives.

However, you want to eliminate ANY form of Democracy, including our Representative Democracy. You would eliminate our Republic if you could.

It has caused the country to verge at Civil War.
