The discussion was on a few different levels. Lest I remind you, YOU were the one who brought up the differences in how people felt in 2003 vs. now.

How is your own feeling in 2003 irrelevant to that? I can talk about mine - I was 100% against invading.

C'mon, now - it isn't hard. How did you feel about invading Iraq? You afraid because your outrage over my assumption will prove to be pretty silly?

Do you disagree with my statement that many people have changed their mind about Iraq? Do you disagree that the patriotism level is far different now than in 2003? Do you disagree that their comment was before the war started? Do you disagree that Trump made his comments 13 years later and after there were no WMD's found?

If you don't disagree with any of the above, why is my stance important. I'll understand if you can't answer.

The fact that people have "changed their minds" on Iraq only solidifies the point of my OP. It's all convenience. Since you clearly supported invasion, you obviously don't know what the air was like then for free speech - and how dissenters had to deal with being called traitors and terrorist sympathizers.

My OP is all about the irony of those idiots supporting Trump now. It's funny that you don't get it.

I supported the invasion of Iraq. I opposed the occupation. I supported knocking the ever loving shit out of Iraq and Afghanistan killing as many as possible INCLUDING civilians then leaving. No nation building.

And it would be SO simple for you to prove me wrong: all you have to do is honestly state how opposed you were to invasion in 2003. This can all end so easily.
