Why isn't Trump getting Dixie Chicked?

I don't have a "theory." Everything I've said is factual (including, most likely, your position on invading Iraq since you continue to sprint from that).

Sure you do. You said this was hypocritical and here I showed that country music fans are also boycotting a conservative singer.

Keep focusing on my stance and ignoring your own thread topic.

LOL

Why are you derailing your own thread? You completely ignored everything I said about the Dixie Chicks and remain stubbornly insistent I must state my stance, when you can't even explain what it has to do with your thread.

You obviously realize you're flailing, so you move the goal posts and try to change the topic to my stance on Iraq. LMFAO.

Winning!

The discussion was on a few different levels. Lest I remind you, YOU were the one who brought up the differences in how people felt in 2003 vs. now.

How is your own feeling in 2003 irrelevant to that? I can talk about mine - I was 100% against invading.

C'mon, now - it isn't hard. How did you feel about invading Iraq? You afraid because your outrage over my assumption will prove to be pretty silly?

They're boycotting a liberal position. Man, some things fly way over your head.

Didn't The Donald lose his reality TV show and the beauty contest gig over his remarks?

Good point!

This is not turning out well for Thing.

He can't understand that most people have changed their mind on Iraq and therefore, don't really care about Trump's comments.

And why are you still SO afraid to state your own position on Iraq? You certainly took some umbrage to my assumption about it.

Why don't you prove me wrong, and tell me how opposed you were to it at the time?

Do you disagree with my statement that many people have changed their mind about Iraq? Do you disagree that the patriotism level is far different now than in 2003? Do you disagree that their comment was before the war started? Do you disagree that Trump made his comments 13 years later and after there were no WMD's found?

If you don't disagree with any of the above, why is my stance important. I'll understand if you can't answer.

The fact that people have "changed their minds" on Iraq only solidifies the point of my OP. It's all convenience. Since you clearly supported invasion, you obviously don't know what the air was like then for free speech - and how dissenters had to deal with being called traitors and terrorist sympathizers.

My OP is all about the irony of those idiots supporting Trump now. It's funny that you don't get it.

You just made my case for me. Good job. That you still don't see the difference between now and then, even after just admitting it above, is truly delicious.

The whole thread. It's not unreasonable to assume based on your other arguments, and the fact that you repeatedly refuse to say what your position was.

If you want to prove me wrong, you can tell me how you opposed the invasion in '03. Otherwise, spare me your "cite."

No one is saying that people shouldn't be allowed to burn their records. But those people are now going to vote for someone saying the same thing they said.

And I always find the whole counter-chick argument to be pretty lame. The Dixie Chicks (and left) were expressing an actual opinion. If you don't like it, counter it with a better opinion, or a more persuasive one.

All people wanted to do was shut the Dixie Chicks up. That's not an opinion. They just didn't want to hear something that countered their own POV.

I wish I could take your indignation seriously but since you weren't defending the CEO of Firefox for being run off for disagreeing with queer marriage, I am going to say you have selective moral outrage.

I supported the invasion of Iraq. I opposed the occupation. I supported knocking the ever loving shit out of Iraq and Afghanistan killing as many as possible INCLUDING civilians then leaving. No nation building.

When did assume become admitting?

:rofl2:

Still can't counter anything I say, so resort to what everyone else is doing and saying I'm this poster or that poster.

Zing!

I've countered everything you've said, Yurt.

And it would be SO simple for you to prove me wrong: all you have to do is honestly state how opposed you were to invasion in 2003. This can all end so easily.
