Why I've stopped caring

Not a lawyer, but I know there are dozens of scumbag lawyers who want to take on a compensation lawsuit against a fat target.

How I think it will go:

1. The 1/6 Commission releases their report next month. Dozens of staffers and other lower run scumbags will go to jail, some for life. Nothing happens to Trump despite the evidence he's a traitor who violated his oath by attempting to overthrow the election.

2. Fox, Rudy and Lindell lose their asses in court to Dominion and/or Smartmatic.

3. Coupled with both the 1/6 Commission report and the voting machine lawsuit wins against Trump's traitors, multiple lawsuits will be filed against Trump (and TrumpCo) for wrongful death, wrongful injury and whatever else lawyers can sue him over. They'll win and TrumpCo will be smashed and the pieces distributed to the families of those harmed by Donald "the J is for Jenius" Trump.

4. Trump spends the rest next few years in quasi-banishment at Mar-a-Lago while Melania has fun being a rich lady again. Trump eventually dies and people dance in the streets.

That could all happen. But lawsuits against trump won’t be decided until it’s too late. As for the traitor part not one of his supporters cares. And even if they did it won’t matter. The election will be moot. Trump will be installed by Congress.

Too late for what? Trump dies? His estate can still be sued. Melania, Ivanka and the rest need to get their inheritances now before it's all gone.

There will always be Trump sheep bleating about how the election was stolen and how Pedo Don was the greatest President just like he kept telling them. They''ll be in the minority.

The proof is in the pudding: How often do Republican leaders running for office in 2022 mention Trump? Ever? Only the truly desperate House wannabes mention Trump.

I’ve rather enjoyed reading this gloom and doom thread. The thing is, this could have been a conversation among my friends on the right a year ago.

Haha. The reality is social media, Twitter especially, and board's like this are often cesspools. They amplify more fringe/activist voices along with the trolls. They are the ones who scream the loudest. And when you get into that world its easy to think everything is falling apart.

Now to be sure, there are (big) issues. Social media is a huge part of the problem. So I'm not here singing kumbaya for the country because that isn't the case. But while the President is clearly important we aren't a dictatorship, they aren't the end all be all of everything.

State candidates are lining up to kiss the ring at Mara Lago. They are fawning over him. And states are the real battleground. Trump has become a party boss. So I’d disagree on that point.

ROTFLMFAO!!! You realize that you are arguing against yourself. Or maybe not. Either way it’s hilarious. ‘Drop student loan forbearance became COVID is over but keep title 42 because we have to stop Covid.’ Which is it?
I see no argument, just pointing out the inconsistencies of the administration policies.
Which is it? That’s my question for Brandon.
Good that we can agree on that.

We agree title 42 should remain in place. But it has and had NOTHING to do with COVID. Student loan firebearance had everything to do with recovering from Covid. Student loan debt is a massive drag on growth. How did you expect growth was going to restart? Or would you have preferred a massive long lasting recession? You love to criticize and use childish nicknames rather than having a discussion. At least you understand you’re a troll, most of them don’t. But You are the poster boy for my calculus. Someone who has gone from serious to a laughable partisan troll. It’s sad but that’s where we are now. Which is why I don’t post much anymore. There are no serious discussions here. None. It’s a microcosm of the country.

Really? Eastman as Attorney General. Stephen Miller as head of DHS. You get the idea. And a Supreme Court and a Congress that rubber stamps every decision made by the Administration. You think POTUS can't be a dictator? Think again.

If that was possible he would have pulled it off. He didn't. He couldn't. To me that's more extremist thinking but that's just my opinion.

But what do I know, people give lip service to supporting democracy but maybe people would prefer dictatorships. There are folks that want those they dislike/disagree with dead so if you have that attitude they would likely be more open to it.

.
All good but why continue the forbearance when there are no more lockdowns? Full employment? Makes zero sense.

He is putting the pieces in place that failed him last time. He was very close the last time. This time, he'll succeed. What do you think these restrictive voter laws are in place for? Please don't say it's to stop voter fraud. I KNOW you know better.

Historically, most coup attempts are tried a second time.

Because he's doing the same thing with student loans that Trump did with Title 42. Use Covid as an excuse to advance an agenda item. At least I'm honest enough to admit that. But early on, student loan forbearance was absolutely critical.

You don't seem to have a lot of confidence in Biden. If I were a Democrat I'd 100% want Trump to run because no way that dude is winning again. These voting laws aren't going to lead to a dictatorship.

No doubt. Again, it's the desperate ones who are kissing the ring around Trump's asshole. Notice that DeSantis and other top contenders are not doing it.

Trump is planning violence. He knows a legal election will defeat him.

Biden won't be running in 2024.

Yes, they are. Because everyone is standing aside and watching. Free and fair elections are over. It isn't the voter suppression aspects of these laws that's killing elections (although they are an abomination). It's the certification process. It is now untethered from the result. It no longer matters who wins the popular votes in many of these states. Legislatures can simply overturn them. We are on the brink.
