Alec Baldwin Fired Prop Gun That Killed Halyna Hutchins, Injured Director

A woman is dead and a man wounded.

Someone is liable and the lawyer for the plaintiff will point at Baldwin.

Intended or not, he did. That was careless. He should have known from previous safety training how to point a gun on the set at all times. He should have further known not to put his finger on the trigger until he was ready to fire. That's basic gun safety.

You did not answer my question.

Negligent homicide is a criminal charge brought against a person who, through criminal negligence, allows another person to die.

Baldwin will pay millions to the family of the victim.

When the AD, the person on set most responsible for gun safety over the entire shoot, proclaims a gun safe before handing it to an actor then the actor has no responsibility to verify...the whole point of having the AD in charge is to keep everyone safe without having to have everyone sucking up expensive time checking for themselves.

"Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 24yr old, was head armorer in charge of guns. She admitted she wasn't sure she was ready for the job in an interview before filming started."

As the producer, Baldwin is liable and since she admitted that she was not sure she was ready for the job, he has exposure to a civil suit in the millions.

And who is that?

It would have to be the insurance company I think, and I also think that they will balk....and Baldwin has $60 million...a very ripe target.

"The safety of our cast and crew is the top priority of Rust Productions and everyone associated with the company," Rust Movie Productions LLC said Friday in a statement to PEOPLE. "Though we were not made aware of any official complaints concerning weapon or prop safety on set, we will be conducting an internal review of our procedures while production is shut down. We will continue to cooperate with the Santa Fe authorities in their investigation and offer mental health services to the cast and crew during this tragic time."

Again you have no idea if he intended to point it at her and pulled the trigger. Why do people keep thinking they know all the details?

intent is meaningless. There is no question that he did so. Bullets dont chose where they will go. A hole appeared in the deceased because he pointed the weapon there and pulled the trigger.

Hutchins, Souza, and a B-camera operator were still nearby assessing shots, the Los Angeles Times reported, when Baldwin pulled the gun out of a holster twice in preparation for the scene. The second time he removed the gun, ammunition reportedly flew toward the trio, penetrating Hutchins near her shoulder and continuing through to Souza.

He was pointing the gun at her because she was the cinematographer and they needed a shot of the gun firing directly at the camera. She was behind a perspex shield which would have protected her from a blank but not from a live bullet sadly.
