Biden Says He Did Not Tell DOJ to Charge Trump

Yea, I'm sure Biden didn't tell his DOJ to persecute Trump any more than he never met with his son Bagman's business partners and clients...

And does not change that Trump was properly charged with crimes.

In the legal sense. Charge stacking rarely works against a defendant that has means to fight the charges. I suspect the 37 counts will quickly be reduced to 2 to 5 that the prosecutors think they can definitely win.

You make no sense. They don't have a grand jury waiting weeks at a time till they are needed the DOJ lets it be known to assemble a grand jury

Holy fuck dude. Yes they do. There are sitting grand juries in every district in America. Could you read before you post?

Not stacking. it is just a listing of charges all connected in some way. Trump will not like what he will be told Tuesday. His potential jail time amounts to several life sentences.

Charge stacking

What prosecutors did to the Tiger King shouldn't happen to anyone else. But it does.
The practice is called charge stacking: Pile on as many charges for one infraction as possible to ensure defendants get the harshest sentence. And it's putting minor criminals away for life.

One clear example of it is the use of multiple charges for the same offense.

For example, the prosecution hit Trump for 7 counts under the Espionage Act. They are repetitive. That's charge stacking. It's a way prosecutors try to intimidate defendants. Those with few means to defend themselves might cave to a plea deal to one or two out of the charges which is what the prosecution wanted. A guilty plea with no trial. Federal prosecutors are notorious for doing this.
The last thing the prosecution wants is a trial. They want to plea the case out and get a sure win. Going to trail means the outcome isn't predictable, and that's bad for the prosecution in particular. Watch. The prosecution will try to make a plea deal with Trump. You can take it to the bank. I doubt Trump will agree to one meaning there's going to be a trail.

So the Democrats claimed Trump was a liar but they believe rthe lies of Biden

Does Biden believe anyone is stupid enough to believe this. WAIT!!!!! this is mean for Biden voters and they are that stupid

So, question...

Hunter Biden clearly lied on a federal firearms background check form. There is ZERO doubt of that. He was and is a drug user / abuser. He was when he signed the form. There are time dated photographs of him using crack, among other drugs on the laptop the FBI possesses. That is a federal felony and a serious one. Why after over 3 years + hasn't he been indicted and tried for that serious gun crime?

The point I'm making, and at this point it's a pretty damn obvious one, is that the FBI and DOJ have become political tools rather than dispassionate arbiters of justice treating all with equality and fairness.

The question that really needs answering is How can the party in power justify going after their primary political opponent shortly before an election? It looks more like some Third World junta or strongman dictatorship in action than the actions of a just and dispassionate democratic Western nation.

Deflect, distort, and distract.

That is not what is happening. Trump did many offenses. Trump will try to make the deal. He already tried that with his lawyers dropping in to talk to the prosecutors last week. The word is his lawyers will ask Cannon to dismiss all charges.

It is exactly what's happening. Trump won't get all the charges dismissed, but watch, the prosecution will drop the number to a few they have confidence they can win and the duplicates will be dumped. The prosecution doesn't want the jury to think they stacked charges either. They did this against Fife Symington an ex-governor of Arizona. The feds didn't drop any of the stacking on him and then had the jury throw out all but like 2 of the most minor charges on which Symington was found guilty.

It was a major blow to the federal prosecutor's office here, and because of an irregularity with the jury, the two guilty verdicts were tossed on appeal and the feds chose not to try a retrial. Disaster for them.

I doubt they'll make the same mistake with Trump.
