We agree on something. Gridlock in government limits the abuse government inflicts on liberty and economy.

One of the most humorous things about this election season is the radical anger the minions have for the government's lack of "doing something." I argue that the government's "doing of something" is where 19 trillion $ of national debt came from. I argue that government has already done too much, because there's too much government.

conservatives are like really lumpy poops that give you a lot of resistance. Sometimes their ideas are painful. Much like after you've eaten a lot of soundflower seeds.. they will scrape up your butthole on the way out. They are large and in charge and have a tough exterior. They resist the progress of exiting your rare. Clawing and fighting tooth and nail until they simply have no choice but to plop out. It takes much longer for a conservative to make progress. You are usually thankful once you dispose of them.

Liberals are more are a much like the cowpie waddled up mess type dump... unlike the standard conservative lump, these come in a variety of shapes, sizes and consistency. A broad coalition if you will. Because liberals believe in progress, their natural inclination is to slither out your asshole with little hesitation. They don't resist, they welcome the future that awaits them at the bottom of the bowl.

A conservative is anyone who wants things to remain as they are. Like racists voting against the Civil Rights Act in the 60s. They wanted to conserve Jim Crow laws.
During our revolution the conservative position was to be a loyalist to the King of England. The founding framers of the constitution were true progressives.

That is assuming labels remain the same.

The original LIBERALS were also known as Classical Liberals, meaning free market capitalists. They were for limited government, low tax rates, freedom and liberty.

The modern day liberal was created during the Port Huron STatement, during the early Sixties, when idiots like the SDS decided to embrace socialism.

Modern day conservatism has its roots probably in William F. Buckley and Ronald Reagan, who preached almost libertarian policies. Bottom line, conservatism means free markets, the rule of law, liberty, the Constitution and the family unit. That hasn't changed since Reagan.

I have never seen that in Alaska. The teacher's union here represent the teachers and what they wish. Apparently, unions in your state are different?
