McCain has been in the Senate for 6 terms and enjoys bipartisan support .. whereas, Trump has NO credibility, no foreign policy experience whatsoever, supported only by a decreasing number of republicans, and may not last a single term in office.

McCain's longevity hardly makes him credible - it just means he has tenure.
His only foreign response to any conflicts large or small is interventionism/bombings/war.
