O.J. Simpson dies of cancer at age 76

I say they were racist.

You say they weren't.

Rather than just leave it at that, you accuse me of racism for having an opinion you don't agree with.

Now who’s being racist here?

Don't answer.

It's YOU.

Don’t lump my friend

We all have moments where we need to peal away scum that some racist relative planted in our little brains

Just peal it

No harm or shame in learning

After many years of testifying in criminal trials, I have never questioned a jury’s verdict. I believe they take their duty very seriously and do the best they can given the evidence presented them. That is, until this trial.

This is the only case I can recall where I did. They simply didn’t do their duty to deliberate - to consider all the evidence. This was a long and complex trial. Deliberation should have taken days or weeks or longer. They hardly had time to choose a foreman and eat lunch. It took LESS THAN FOUR HOURS.

So, was there a racist underpinning? Sure appears to be.

I think the police malfeasance was sufficiently blatant that the defendant had to be acquitted regardless of what the legitimate evidence suggested.
Four hours was plenty.

I've served on juries.
I don't share your confidence in them.
If I were innocent, I'd want a judge's verdict.
The judge went to law school and knows what he/she is doing..
I'd only opt for a jury trial if I were guilty hoping for a jury mistake.

In this case, however, I think the police sabotaged their own case enough to give the jury an easy job.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers came out in 1991 with the tune Under the Bridge

Some the lyrics in that tune viscerally take me back to the beating of Rodney King and then the OJ trial

I dont ever want to feel like I felt that day

Take me back to the place I love

Take me all the way

The science was perfectly sound

This poster doesn’t know the real facts

You insinuate constantly that black people are all perfect, innocent angels who cannot have the same human faults that everyone else has.

That is 1) absurd and 2) racist.

If I was black I'd be offended by people like you.

Seriously.

As if I would need your coddling.

Absolutely sickening.

I know it hurts

Take some time

Think it through

No doubt one uses a jury if you’re guilty.

And yeah, there were a lot of fuckups by the cops, the prosecution, and even the judge. But, 3 hours and change? Naw

Deliberation was admittedly short. But how long was sequester?
These people weren't going to take more time than they needed.
Hotel food is good, but at some point, you just want to get the fuck home, no?

Here is a hint

I look at a person and make my self face that no matter how they physically present in front of me

As in wheelchair bound with a cleft lip

Inside they are as intelligent, loving and interesting as I feel my insides are

I had to teach myself that practice as I did have racist relatives who smeared scum on my insides

That is how I peal away the scum

Now once I have enough interaction with that one individual to deem them not worthy of my good graces I can chose to find them unworthy of further contact

I have to use the same process with their identical wheelchair bound twin or triplet

Get it

No lumping

When you find it inside you

Scrape it the fuck out

Dont insist everyone else see it as truth

You are harming you

I have had to scrape it out

I know how it feels

It’s icky

It’s humiliating

But once you scrape that scum some fool left in you thinking they were making you wiser

Man does it feel better

Your thoughts and feeling begin to actually get more in tune with that feeling of decency you get when you help someone who needs a hand

Scrape it out dudes

It’s easier Than you think it will be

Those twelve people wanted justice

I truly believe they were trying to be fair and just

They wanted justice to win the day

They were slipped the equivalent of “covid isn’t real”

That is one of the eight idiot

He thought he just made progress for black rights

Perfectly legal and understandable if you believe you just returned some justice to the world

Not a fucking thing wrong with what he did

Letting a killer go just to get back at whitey is OK?....got it
