Tim Walz left National Guard Battalion 'Hanging"

“On May 16th, 2005, [Walz] quit, betraying his country, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war,”

Tim Walz left National Guard battalion ‘hanging,’ ‘slithered out the door’ before Iraq deployment: vets
Veterans have accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of “embellishing” his military career and abandoning his National Guard battalion, highlighting that the now-vice presidential pick for the Democrats never served in combat and retired from service ahead of his unit’s 2005 deployment to Iraq.

We don't know what really happened, but it is truly baffling how people accept others' opinions and social media as truth.

THAT is truly weird.
It IS baffling. I posted a snippet, above, from military.com about Walz and his NG service. He served each of his four six-year enlistments, and received an honorable discharge when he returned to civilian life. He failed to pass a test to receive whatever promotion that was, and left as a Sergeant Major. Military.com's information comes from the Minnesota National Guard, the branch of the military where Walz served. They should know, right?

Ah, still seething with rage and envy over a guy who is both a veteran of 24 years, but also what you've wished you were but never made it -- a teacher, and a coach. And unlike you, he's honest about HIS career!

Veterans groups hit back at J.D. Vance for claiming Tim Walz had 'stolen valor'

Veterans and pro-vet groups, however, are hitting back at Vance for questioning Walz's service and rank.

This happened in 2005, so Walz would have been 41 years old. Based on his rank, I'd assume that he'd been on the NG for quite sometime.

Is he not allowed to leave the NG to pursue other things in life?

By the way, when you sign up for the National guard, you are committing for a certain number of years and for a certain number of weeks per year for training. You can't just leave In the middle of your committed time.
he lied about going to war in speeches as well - and claims to of retired with a title that was stripped of him because he bailed on his men

is anything a scandal for democrats any more?

the people on the right can not admit he DID serve as a Command Sergeant major, it is in his records it is all there for them to read, it is that simple. who gives a fuck what he retired as, he WAS a Command Sergeant major.
he didn't sit behind a desk writing stories about the real war heroes like Vance did.
Have a nice day

Why was he demoted, Comrade?

Generally, when one retires they are advanced a rank. Why was Tampon Timmy demoted?

Dereliction of something, I think it starts with a "d"....

The description of "cut and run" isn't a fact, despite what social media and dishonest news outlets may try to tell you.

We don't know the circumstances around his departure and the opinion of one or two people doesn't establish reality.

More info is needed.

Sure we do, the unit was heading to combat in Iraq - Tampon Timmy said "fuck that" and got out quick.

The New York Post:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

The most accurate paper in America.

Vastly more accurate than the New Woke Times, The Amazon.Com Post (formerly WaPo), Tampa Bay Herald, LA Times, et al. You know, the ones who blatantly lied about the Hunter Laptop. The ones that blatantly lied about Russian Collusion to support an attempted coup.

The Post reports accurately - which enrages you Stalinists.

Actually, he retired as a Master Sergeant for retirement purposes. He had not completed a course necessary for him to retire at a higher rank.

The last rank he held before retiring was Command Sergeant Major.

But I guess you MAGA people have to derogate him somehow...so have at it. (Don't mind the laughter coming from us.)
They're trying to distract us from their crazy weird VP candidate who only served four years, and that as a writer rather than as a soldier... and who uses that service for political coin. It's hard to beat a Democrat who is for the people, for unions, for families, etc. who is also a long-serving American veteran.

I'd say they should be ashamed of themselves, but none of them experience that conscience-cleansing emotion.
