What kind of "Christian values" do Conservatives want?

True; dogmatic religions are dying in First World countries. However, do not conflate that with a loss of "spirituality". It just proves people like myself don't take the Bible literally. Jonah, Noah, Satan, etc are just interesting stories.

Ran across this the other day; thought you would appreciate it.

Catholics are for helping the poor, against war, guns & against abortion.

Evangelicals are for hurting the poor, for war, for guns, but against abortion.

Evangelicals probably worship Satan.

Like most other religious groups, Catholics are NPCs who just believe what their political parties say.

Catholic Liberals go against their religion to support women's rights, gay rights, trans rights, and abortion.
Catholic Conservatives go against their religion to support Capitalism, guns, and war.

That's mostly in Protestant America.

Where options are so few.

One thing is true, Poland gets Catholicism much more correct, being against Abortion, against Gay marriage, for helping the poor, against guns, etc. etc.

Evangelicals are the worst, they might as well support the Norse Gods, they're incompatible with Christianity.

They definitely pick and choose which words of Christ they prefer to follow, and ignore the rest. But then, most religions do the same thing with their so-called holy books.

PS -- The Norse gods/goddesses are pretty cool.

Poland is an exception when it comes to abortion in the Catholic world. As for helping the poor, Poland does better than America, but worse than most Protestant European countries.

The Evangelicals worship Tyr the God of War, and Geri and Freki the Gods of Greed & Gluttony.

I have always felt the biggest distinction in the social conscience of Christianity is the fundametalist Calvinist branch of Protestantism's interpretation of predestination.
Calvinism says that nothing depends on man, that faith is already predetermined. One does not gain access to grace by good works and deeds

I do not think the obsession with personal salvation and predestination is as acute in Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, or Lutheranism, which place greater weight on good works.

Personal salvation is the one and only reason Christianity exist.
Good works has nothing to do with it,they won't save your soul.

Faith and good works is an expectation for attaining grace of many Christian denominations outside the Calvinist tradition.

The fact you did not know this speaks to how little you actually know about the history, theology, and traditions of the religion you claim to belong to
