We're not part of the EU, but we're not at war with any European country. I think if the American Union were to dissolve, we'd probably end up with a few unions for the various new countries, but probably no war.
But an even better scenario would be that the threat of a state seceding forces the federal government to actually take states' rights seriously.

Carry laws are kind of crazy, any hothead who gets into an argument rather than fist fighting might pull a gun out instead of a fist.
Besides, you know who the bad guy is when someone is carrying in a non-carry zone.
It's what we see all over the world. The countries where gun control 'works' simply didn't have problems with guns before they had strict gun control. If they do have problems with guns, strict gun control only makes things worse.

Well, I was brought up a Christian Socialist in the Church in 'Wales' meself, Mother slightly-conservative atheist, Father near-communist parson with several CP friends. Round Christmas I was allowed to sit up while my Father and another local vicar argued Marxism and theology with our ex-theological-student communist doctor, over whisky, and established my idea of what being grown-up was about, very enjoyable.
Dad always contended that he'd joined the Church when a coal-owner who threatened to starve his striking men into submission was refused communion because he was not in love and charity with his neighbour. What's a goat-rope?

Agreed. There is a passage about how life begins when the blood flows which implies a fetus isn't alive until it grows large enough to have blood. Nothing about abortion.
