What kind of "Christian values" do Conservatives want?

The early Christians lived in communist/socialist communities. Everyone shared in whatever was available, everyone able had to work and contribute as well. Israel still has socialist kibbutzim.

Funny how horrible those things are in modern life, to our ignorant conservative and/or fundie friends, eh?

It gets pretty funny at times because Republicans need to constantly demonize Communism but also suck up to Israel. I remember like five years ago, Michele Bachmann was bragging about how she used to live on a Kibbutz. Unlike Obama or Bernie, she was literally a Communist, while still saying Liberalism is Communism.

Such communities don't survive above the village level, but people can certainly be more courteous and compassionate of their fellow Americans. Most conservative leaders are more about money than compassion.

I think you're obsessed

You and I both know sock puppeteers need to either get a life or end it. Which option do you think most sock puppeteers should take?

They've done a good job of fucking with their supporters' heads. For a lot of today's RWers, *everything* they don't like is "socialism." Our local NBC affiliate had a story the other day about COVID contact tracing. One woman in the comment section kept screaming in all caps that that is SOCIALISM. These people are absolutely clueless about forms of government, functions of government, civics, economics, and so on.

And their masters know it.

It seems to me that many Christian leaders are exactly the same way.

Yeah, Socialism has just become a catch-all for anything one doesn't like, creating a wild inconsistency.

Franco and Charles 1. Revolutions only produce civil war when there is foreign intervention.

Disagreed, but history does prove foreign powers might become involved in a civil war for their own benefit. The Brits were tempted to side with the CSA. Germany took sides in Spain. That's different than saying foreigners caused a civil war.

The Right often talks about how things would be so great if America just embraced Christian values like we supposedly did in the past. I know two Christian values they want to bring back are homophobia and a ban on abortion, but is that it? What else do you guys want to do to make America more Christian?

I cannot speak for fundamentalist bible thumping Protestant Republicans, but I have an affinity and respect for Pope Francis' priorities of poverty, peace, social justice, economic justice, and concern for the environment - which I presume originates from his Latin American Franciscan heritage.

Those are the Christian values that Liberals want. Christianity is a pretty liberal religion, with some glaring exceptions. That's why I'm more curious about what Conservatives could possibly mean.

Why do you give a fuck!
Socks are legal.
Have a problem take it up with the powers that be
Well, Mason, it's okay if I call you Mason, isn't it? The fact is you owe me an apology and a retraction. The fact you are so sensitive to being outed as a lying sleazebag sock puppeteer is just sauce for the goose.

BTW, What’s 6 inches long, 2 inches wide and drives your mom wild?

If that was true, then why are you always slamming believers, Christianity in particular?

Because religion trains people to put feels over reals, which makes them susceptible to Fake News and Fascism.

Exactly my point; you are treating your opinion as fact and totally disregarding the views of over 250M religious Americans.

You are also making the arrogant mistake of blaming it all on religion instead of public education. Not just public schools, but additional means of education.

All of this proves you are as big of a fucking moron as you believe those "feels over reals" people to be.

Oh, FFS. Reread my comment.
"which makes them susceptible to Fake News and Fascism."

Religion makes people SUSCEPTIBLE to Fake News and Fascism. I never blamed it ALL on religion. I never denied that there are other factors. All I'm saying is that it is easier for Fascists to gain support from people when said people are religious.
