I agree with the DeSantis actions concerning changing the way schools performance is monitored. It is not about politics. It is about the way school performance is monitored.
A lot do. That's why colleges have remedial training programs. Community college is college, dumbass. They have remedial training programs too for the same reason. Employers have to retrain high school graduates enough basic arithmetic to run a till. It's sad. These poor saps can't even make change.
It is a political decision made by a politician to alter the way charter schools are compared to public schools. DeSantis supports charter schools, even though they have on average failed badly. This is an attempt to cover that up.

I doubt many do. Maybe community college, but community college is willing to educate you up to a college level first.
My point. Kids are not graduating high school with any knowledge of algebra, or even basic arithmetic in many cases.Algebra would not be considered a college level course.
A community college is a COLLEGE, dumbass.Community college often educates people up to a college level,
My point. Thank you for agreeing with me.because they do not have a reasonable high school education.
A community college is a COLLEGE, dumbass. Universities also have to have remedial courses because kids graduate schools while they are still illiterate.
You are not going to get college credits for taking a course on Algebra. No one cares where you took the course.
Apparently you don't remember what I said about REMEDIAL courses, necessary because the high schools failed.

There most certainly are remedial/refresher/developmental courses offered in college...they do not count towards a degree...but they do count....There is no such thing as "remedial courses" in college. I think you are thinking of high school.
There are catching up courses, that are not taught for college credit. The idea is to get the students to a place where they can start taking real college courses.
trump underperformed the stock market in the return on his inheritance. In other words, he is below average.
lol...not sure why you don't want what is best for the schools...the teachers...the students...

I'm sure you believe that....For every year a student spends in the for-profit charter schools, they lose a month of education compared to public school students. That is because they hire substandard teachers for cheaper.
So colleges don't offer instruction to students with learning challenges? One of the reasons they might be behind...and need to catch up?Colleges would never call a course remedial, or even have the concept of a remedial course. Remedial is for students who have trouble learning, rather than people who are behind and need to catch up.

Did you read the article you posted yet?Trump should have taken a course on remedial civics, administration of govt and constitutional powers of the executive.
So you have Governor DeSantis and the Florida's Teacher Union in agreement that ending the standardized testing at the end of the year and replacing it with progress monitoring three times a year is a good thing.
Should people be worried that those two are on the same page or is it a good thing?
